I listen to music with a strong rhythm. The Verve, Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins...Sometimes if I feel it I put on the best of James Brown.

There's a great funk album that came out late 90s by some DJ. It was a non-stop run of a bunch of funk songs that fit into each other. I need to find that.

I like to mix some radio pop in with my heavy metal. I like Disturbed, Volbeat, 5FDP, and some 80's heavy metal :D

Forty Six & 2 by Tool is pretty epic for workouts. Especially people trying to transition and change a lot.

Personally, I have a playlist that I created for myself and other MFP links for this exact purpose. Current run time is almost 5 hours, and it grows with diversity as time goes by. Mostly indie or things that a lot of people don't put on their typical "workouts" like... no Welcome to the Jungle crud. Feel free to follow it if you like :)

Editing to say that I tried to start it with "warm up" pacing, and also try to put in slow pace songs here and there so that if you are on shuffle, it'll pop in a bit of change if you like to match your pace... Like putting in "I Can't Stop" by Flux Pavilion, that song always manages to come up when I'm feeling like maybe I'll stop, and I always end up pushing further ;)
