Hello friends. Intermittent fasting has looked like this for the past 6 weeks... A 100 calorie Starbucks coffee drink around 7am. Lunch in the form of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and chips at 11:00. A regular dinner around 5:30pm.

Not really a 16:8 split like I was doing over the summer, but less calories than I was consuming last school year.

My weight is still down at 195; which I am happy about.

Work is a little stressful right now (I have a student who is consistently showing violent behaviors in my class and needs a different placement faster than our special education team is moving with the process) so I am trying my best to keep my calories low and my stress level down.

I'll check in the next time I have a moment and hopefully have a positive report about both work and fasting!

Looks like it is working for you maintenance-wise and you are losing a little also.

Hello! It has been almost 3 months but not quite. I don't have much to report in the way of weight loss. I have been sitting between 195 and 199 lbs depending on the time of day that I weigh in. I discovered a website named "DietBet" today. You join challenges and contribute money to a weight loss pot. Your challenge is to lose 4% of your weight in 4 weeks. SinceI weighed in at 199.4 this week, my challenge is to weigh 191.4 on January 8th. This would be a stretch for me as the lowest I got over the summer when I was doing IF was 194.

My contribution to the weight loss pot was $10. I figured I'd give it a shot and see if it motivates me. I will update and let you know how it goes. My plan for weight loss is to practice IF!

Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec- very casual and sporadic fasting during the school day. Usually I would sip coffee with vanilla creamer between the hours of 6:30am-11:00am and have lunch at 11 with dinner around 5. Weight slowly crept from 195 to 202 lbs.

New year and fresh motivation to lose weight.
    Weigh-ins for 2018:

1/14/18: 200.2 lbs and pretty much living in workout pants as my jeans feel tight and my stomach bloated. New resolve to practice fasting.

By the way....spending money on dietbet was ineffective for me. I didn't lose any weight or change any habits. Just donated 10 bucks. Boooo.

Woohoo! I fasted from 7pm last night until 3:30pm today. Skipped breakfast (and the coffee with creamer I usually drink), skipped lunch and waited until the school day was over and ate at 3:30pm.

This is a nonscale victory! I am planning to try the same thing tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Today ended up being a 16:8. I had Subway for lunch and then a hot dog for dinner. Planning to try again for omad tomorrow as we always go out to dinner after work. I will plan to have my meal then. :)

I must also note that my stomach feels less bloated and a little smaller today. I will weigh myself tomorrow for official weigh-in day.

Almost made it until 3pm today fasting. Apparently today is national popcorn day. All of the teachers at school were given freshly popped popcorn. And.....I ate it.

I'm pretty sure I still stayed within my calorie range for today though!
