Limited to female MFP members

Do I have to limit myself to female MFP members? It seems like every male who adds me on here is thirsty AF.....I would like to enjoy the community without the awkward advances in my inbox....
Any other ladies experiencing this?! I bet I'm not the only one!

I haven't gotten that much of it, but I'm also married and 48 years old. I've gotten a few weirdos but I get rid of them by purposely acting extremely boring to them until they bugger off.

I never added or made requests until I had lurked around awhile and became more familiar with who is who...who had similar interests, etc...

Exactly this. I don't get why people get all bent out of shape over private messages or this being a dating site blah blah blah. It takes 1 second to delete a message you find inappropriate. You don't HAVE to reply if you feel it's that thirsty.

I have never used pics of myself on here, and (therefore, I believe) never receive thirsty or creepy PMs.
