Managing a slight Caloric deficit

Hi everyone:

I'm interested in talking about the best ways to use MyFitnessPal to measure and maintain a slight caloric deficit. My goal is to run at a daily deficit of 500 calories with a combination of exercise and nutrition. I have set my daily caloric intake at a set amount and want to ensure the deficit is there each day through applying my workout rotation. It appears the app automatically adjusts my caloric intake based on my calorie expenditure because it wants to ensure you are loosing weight in a health manner. I would prefer to set the app to keep my daily calorie goal static, regardless of my exercise lever for the day. I'm just trying to refine and slightly reduce my body fat percentage. Any ideas or thoughts?

    If I log exercise I set it as 1 calorie burned. Most of the time I don't log my exercise.
