Question on Counting Walking Steps Accurately
One of my goals is to walk 7,000 steps per day. During each day, I take a leisurely walk of a mile at a pace of 2.5 miles per hour and that takes about 1/2 of the total of my goal. I count the rest of my steps in normal activity per day and log the total steps into my exercise calories to get my net calories for the day.…

Same or Different?
Do you prefer to eat the same foods every day for simplicity/calorie count/nutritional consistency; or do you like to constantly change up your menu? Me? Other than my daily must-have morning coffee and mostly-daily chocolate fix, I like to eat a wide variety of foods with very few repeat meals. The exceptions are the rare…

Benign paroxismal positional vertigo
Does anyone here have any experience with this? First off, I'll start with: I've already been to the doctor, he ran some tests. Checked bloodwork, and said it is most likely BPPV and should resolve in a week or two. It first happened yesterday evening - I was at the gym, but I wasn't doing anything really, I was playing…

Update: I’ve gained weight
So to all that replied to my previous postings, I’m sure you will comment on this one too. Turns out that eating late/cheat day did result in weight gain, I stepped on the scale today for the first time since earlier in the year and could not believe my eyes. I was last around 180 I think in Jan & was 198.5 today. I…

Cooking Oil Spray
Just curious how many calories most folks use for non-stick cooking oil spray. I use a pure olive oil or pure canola oil spray (no additives) and count it as 9 calories when I use it. I don't time the length of my spray, but if I use it twice (either on two different pans or maybe one below something and then I spray the…

Choosing "Activity Level" in goals when tracking exercise with apple watch
I track all my exercises and daily activity with an apple watch and I have it automatically log all of it in the app. I also have negative calorie adjusts enabled. If I track all my activity with my watch should I set my "Activity Level" to "Not Very Active" instead of "Lightly Active" or "Active" since these two settings…

Is BMI an accurate way to know how much I should weigh?
I looked up my BMI last night and it says I’m overweight, so obviously I’m freaking out. But is it accurate? I don’t want to just lose weight, I want to get toned and strong, I like muscle on me, but how do I know how much I should weigh?!

29lbs loss but cant see a difference?
I've been on a diet since November and slowly worked upto 29lbs(just over 2st)/13.2kg and I cant see a huge difference, maybe a bit less on my bum but my stomach still seems massive. Here's a side by side from when I started (10th November at 264.5lbs) and 28th at 235.5lbs. Added a front pic and a spoiler to both images

Do you weigh in and Measure each time or Just Weigh only
On the check in screen it gives you the option of entering your weight. It also has a place to put your body measurement. Do you weigh and measure or just weigh? Please explain your logic behind doing 1 or both. Does the scale tell the whole story each week of how much you followed the plan? What insights can you get from…

Crazy question about libido
Did anyone else notice a drop in sex drive while losing weight? I just turned 40, and I am recovering from a major surgery that caused a drop in Testosterone (my hair started falling out because of it). My energy levels are back after three months of strength training and my hair is coming back in. Over the past three…

Me: female 5'5" 140# 35 years old I never really thought "starvation mode" was real. Mainly because I was eating 1250 calories and exercising everyday and only lost a pound a week. Anyone do "rebounding"?
I had never heard of this until today. Someone here suggested it in another thread. I'm 300lbs. Never thought I could jump on a mini trampoline without breaking it. Tell me more. I've got about $40 to spend on one (or multiple) pieces of equipment. Looking for low impact exercise for weight loss. In horrible shape.

Why do I look skinnier than I weigh?
I look skinnier than I actually weigh. I am 5’6 and not muscular. It is not all in my head either - when I was at my skinniest (130lbs), people frequently thought I was around 110 pounds, and when I was 190 pounds people thought I was in the 160s/170s. I actually think I looked better at 190 then I did at 130, which looked…
