no freshman 15!
I'm in my first year of university...so cafeteria food consumes most of my diet. I lost 15lbs between June and September, and my BMI went down by 2 (yay!). I hope to lose another 25lbs before September 2011. My success (so far) is that I haven't gained ANY weight.... despite myths of the dreaded "freshman 15". It's not the…

NSV!
I went grocery shopping this morning, while I was hungry (which could possibly have ended up terrible), and I didn't buy a single thing that was "junk food" for myself! This is a first. Usually I burn tread getting to the fruit snacks (fruit snacks are my downfall, I could eat an entire box of gushers in one sitting).…

Down a size and almost halfway there
Hello MFP family, I just wanted to share my success story. I am down into a size 14 which I haven't been since college (4 years ago). I got into a pair of pants today that I haven't worn since college choir tour back in 2006, and I don't even have to suck my stomach in to get them on. I am almost halfway for what weight I…

I just realized a few things and wanted to share them with the MFP community because I couldn't have done it without you!!! . 1. I have 8 lbs to lose to meet my second mini-goal (250 by March 31). 2. I have been using MFP for 2 full months :) . 3. If I keep going, I should be under 200 lbs by my son's 7th birthday, which…

MY first Goal Touchdown!
I have lost 16 out    of the 45lbs I want to lose. I feel great & my friends tell me I look happier. I have incorporated P90x with Zumba and calisthenics. This has helped me stay limber and strong.  At work, I run up and down stairs rather than use the escalator. :embarassed:

Woooo, 5k!
Today I had an awesome victory. I ran my first 5k in a race last November. I didn't train, in fact, I didn't even really work out for about a month prior and ran one time before the actual 5k and only for about 30 minutes. I'd never even run more than maybe a mile and a half before -- and not consecutively. I ended up…

Under 200!
Hello all, I started WW back in September and was able to lose 20 lbs or so but was sooooo sick of paying the weekly fee just to go and "weigh in." I am happy to say that since joining MFP I have lost an additional 20 lbs and am at my first goal of getting under 200 lbs! I have not been this weight in 20 years! I feel so…

I know these pictures are HUGE, but if you right click them, and hit view image you can see them better  I'm the type of person that has to stay motivated or I fall off the wagon, and I fall hard. Between the first and second picture, there is 25 days, and between the second and third pictures, there is only 10…

Anyone have an advice on which exercises burn the most calories and can give me a good workout routine that would help me burn the most calories possible.

Butt cheeks and tip toes.
In high school and college I played multiple sports. My metabolism was high and I could essentially eat everything I wanted since I was burning in some cases 3-5,000+ calories a day between 2-3 hours of swimming and dive practice/meets and then going to soccer practice/games. Sadly, once I hit my post-baccalaureate years…

Beautiful dresses
I knew I was loosing a couple of dress sizes - (UK sizes) all my size 14 trousers were baggy, and I'd even bought a new pair of size 12 black trousers at the weekend. Yesterday I was running my best friend from the airport to her family home in Ballymoney. We stopped off at Logans, a famous fashion store, for lunch in…

Weight loss
Two months ago I continued on my journey where I had left off in August and I am happy to say I am down 20 in two months. When I first started this lifestyle change in 2010 I was 50 pounds heavier. I may be taking this journey slowly, but I am not going back to that way of life.

Awesome, I've lost 0 lbs lost in 3 weeks
Awesome? You might think. Yes, I said it right, I'm happy I haven't lost a pound during my first 3 weeks of P90X. Now why am I so happy? Because my goal have never been to lose weight, just to lose body fat AND to gain muscle mass. It seems that the amount of protein I've been eating along with the rest of my diet have…

My first NSV
So today I was pretty tired from staying up late last night to finish a paper. I dragged myself through a full day of classes and when I got home, I had to make myself put on some workout clothes so I would go to the gym. I pulled out a new pair of running shorts I had bought on sale and what do you know?! My usual size of…
