Hi All, Not used the forum before but I wanted to say how much MFP has helped me over the last couple of months, I have combined calorie counting with regular exercise and already lost 24 pounds - only 6 to go to get to my desired weight =) Has slowed down now as I am putting down much more muscle so my original goal has…

An Old shirt from the back of the Wardrobe!
A couple of years ago I used to fill this shirt. I tried it on for the sheer hell of it today, as it's been sitting in the back of my wardrobe for a year or 2 feeling sorry for itself. Suffice to say, I will never put this shirt on again! :D…

NSV- toning does wonders.
Today I decided to go to Lane Bryant to pick up a couple of new Bra's because my last purchase( which was a couple of weeks ago) are already on the tightest setting. While I was there I decided to try on a pair of Khaki's. I tried the 16 which is what I am mainly wearing these days, and they were too big. So I went to a 14…

NSV - Fit in much smaller jeans
I was going through my closet and pulled out some of my old jeans when I was not as fat as I became. They were mixed in with a bunch of other jeans some bigger some smaller. I pulled them on, and while they were tight, they fit. I took them off and checked the size, 36" waist. When I started all this I was fitting…

NSV
I haven't lost much since I started on MFP, but in total I'm down 20lbs. And I had to buy a new workout top and pants. Both were smalls, I almost hugged the lady in the fitting rooms I was so pumped. Next stop extra small!!

Yuk!
This is a strange success, but quite cheering. I am really quite hungover today (yeah yeah I know!), so I decided I could have a small chocolate bar to give me some energy before I went to the gym. I got a Kinder snack bar, as it is only 21g and 111 calories... and ... having not eaten anything other than 85% cocoa…

dinner with friends
So last Saturday I went out with some old friends to one of the local bars. Most of the ladies are currently on Weight Watchers and having great success. I am the only one using MFP. I had budgeted in one beer and a desert to my daily intake. I felt a little guilty eating my ice cream sunday. I got more than one glare. I…

Success Report
gaterbear I started my lifestyle changes on Nov. 1 and am excited to report I have gone from a size 42 pant to 38 (my first goal) and my shirt size has gone from L to Med. I even am now wearing 38 waist jeans. These are goals I had in my mind but didn't expect to achieve until much longer into the program. I am currently…

Save the Ta-Ta's
I recently lost a close friend to breast-cancer, so wanted to send everyone a reminder to get your Mammograms and do those monthly breast self-exams. I just got my mammo results and happy to have a clean bill of health. I know it's not always the most pleasant experience, but, the piece of mind is priceless.

1st Mini Goal Met
I thought I would share my first mini-goal success. I am officially at 250lbs, meeting my first mini goal and losing 21 lbs in 7 1/2 weeks. The scale teetered between 249.8 and 250, but ended at 250lbs. While I was hoping for a victory out of the 250's I was happy to see my first mini-goal being met. Today I had someone…

90 lbs lost in 3 years
This is such a glorious time for me, I'm 90lbs lighter than I was three years ago. When I graduated high school I was 175 lbs and by my third year in college I'd ballooned up to around 250. I couldn't even remember being small anymore and just wanted to at least be under 200 lbs once more. I thought it was a pipedream and…

NSV
I know this isn't anything huge, but last night I was so excited when I realized that I could EASILY take my jeans off without undoing or taking off my belt or unbuttoning my pants! They just slid right off!! =] That makes me soooo happy and I look forward to the day that I get to go shopping for smaller jeans! YAY for…

I'm no longer "Fat"
I've reached a major milestone today, and wanted to share.... I got on the scale today, and my body fat measurement read 19.8%.... the blinky light on the scale that usually hovered on the overweight (and 3-4 months ago on Obese), now showed that I am within a normal range! I know that these scales aren't the most…

100 lbs lost... pictures I'm so embarrassed about!
Ok so i've lost 100lbs in total so far on my journey, 55 of which is down to MFP... and by far the easiest and quickest bit of the whole 100. I still have a lot to lose but I can't believe the difference in not only how I look but how I feel. I've never felt more confident and happy in life, I feel so energetic like I want…

NonScaleVictory - Yoga!!
Was in yoga class last night and did a spinal alignment pose where you bend a leg and opposite arm in an arc behind your body. LAST NIGHT I TOUCHED MY FOOT!!! I've never touched my foot before. Small but mighty victory!!!

Weight loss as a hobby
It struck me last night that my diet has become a hobby. I log onto MFP every morning to post weigh in, exercise and breakfast. I anxiously record meals as soon as I finish and read the blogs. I look at the graphs even thought they barely change. Now I'm posting. Maybe the next thing I will do is buy t-shirts with weight…

Healthy BMI!
I just met my first goal! I started at just over 165 lbs (at 5'6") and I weighed myself this morning and I'm now 154.3, putting me at a bmi of 24.9 from 26.6! I'm right at the very top of the healthy range, but I'm only getting started and it feels great to have reached my first goal! Now on to my next 10lb goal!
