I've signed up to JOG the Race for Life in Torbay. It's in aid of cancer research. I am obese but I've set myself the challenge of jogging it. I did it 2 years ago but after the race I didn't jog again. This time I plan to persevere! I am 4'11 and 205lbs. I'm using the app C25k but the British weather is beating me with its cold winds. Ive tried using a thin snood to cover my mouth but I get too hot. And jogging/walking fast with mouth closed is not an option as I pant like a dying fish! I can't afford a gym membership and have no access to s treadmill. Any advice?

From your discussion, I am not certain which part of the weather is your biggest concern. If it is just that the cold wind makes it hard to breath well (not that you are getting too cold while running) - well, you could try a tech fabric turtleneck as your shirt and pull up the neck over your mouth

There's no trick to make the cold air go away I fear (I'm down in Hampshire, got battered by wind on my run today). You'll get used to it eventually. Until then, have you got a sweaty betty store nearby? They sell amazing neckwarmers, easy to pull over your mouth when you get cold and back down when you get hot. I use them for cycling in winter. Maybe stores like sports direct have something similar.

You'll do awesome. I just did my first one in December, it was incredible!
