I have a pic of the small stone carving: "The Venus of Willandorf" in my photos

a comment on it made me want to share this video clip!

The "Venus von Willendorf", discovered in Europe, shows an ancient fertility model… big boobs, wide butt and huge tummy meant babies! and life! And her ability to nurse them. It's considered part of the ingrained "waist to hip ratio" that appeals to most men today, except for the 60's Twiggy, who probably didn't even have periods.

Women's body types through history video--- the text is white, hard to read.

PS in the US in the 1900s women over 200# were admired, my adoptive mother told me in her day ( early 1930s) if a new bride did not gain at least 20 pounds after marriage her hubby was considered a bad provider….how far we have come in our view of food. (The "Fat Cat" cigar smoking businessman was also a success symbol, as being able to eat well all the time. This was the time of farm drought, the 'great depression' when millions were hungry.) Sobering.

I am thankful I am fat now..when new research supports and confirms how bad the ideal of "Low Fat" everything is. In 1940s the research of Ancel Keys' Minnesota Starvation studies influenced a president, and ruined a nation's health. Just my opinion. <grin>
