As I reiterated before, please stop calling me "overweight" I am aware of it and it's not polite to keep pointing it out in a new thread. Thank you.
I haven't seen a single negative response. Slow your roll.
Everyone loses muscle mass as you lose weight. Everyone. It's part of the science. And losing too aggressively causes more loss of muscle mass, which is why it's not recommended to lose more than the weekly rates that were posted earlier.0 -
That's so awesome and sweet! Thank you!!!!0

Slow your roll? Not negative at all.-4

It means slow down and process a little bit. You're jumping all over everything when no one has been anything but supportive of you in this thread.
I'm saying take a breath and reread what people are writing before posting. You're misinterpreting everything.0 -

I think your arms look fine

Great job! I can tell the difference in your waist and hips. I'm sorry you were injured in a accident, but it looks like you have figured out the weight loss part. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!0

The poster you keep asking to stop using the word "overweight" is not referring to your specific weight (in fact she isn't referring to you at all - she is stating a weight loss guideline that is frequently recommended here on MFP). She still means "over the weight one has as one's goal" - that's a lot of words to type out each time.. She isn't implying you're fat or over your BMI. She simply means "for every 25 lbs that you wish to lose, it is recommended to plan to lose 0.5lbs of weight a week". So if you've lost 10/30 lbs, you have 20 left. Which means she is suggesting that to keep healthy and a healthy rate of weight loss you should plan to lose roughly (20/25)*0.5=0.4 lbs per week. This doesn't mean you're going to plateau. Just that as you lose weight your deficit shrinks and she doesn't want you eating too little and getting sick.
On another note, good work on your weight loss, I can see the difference. You've lost weight pretty much everywhere, even your neck and chest (not boobs lol, I mean around the collar bone) look smaller.0 -
I've officially lost 16 pounds!!! Hoping I can lose ten more before the wedding! Thanks for all the support!

Hey,
Editorgirl is not calling you overweight. She is putting a period at the end of "lbs." as is correct in punctuating after a shortened word. So you are reading, "you are overweight." But what she is saying is ".5 pounds for ever 25 pounds you are overweight."0 -
16 lbs in less than six weeks is an unusually fast rate. 10 more pounds in a little over 6 weeks is a very aggressive goal for most people weighing less than 175 pounds. I was under the most stress in the last 6 weeks before my wedding. Remember to be kind to yourself. Focus on staying healthy and happy no matter what the scale says.0

Editorgirl is trying to explain that your weight loss will slow down as you lose.
The less you have to lose, the slower it will as well as should come off. This is important so that you lose in a sustainable and healthy way.
Editorgirl is not being disrespectful at all and you should pay attention to what she is saying-she really knows her stuff!!
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!
You will make a lovely bride!0 -
I mean, technically, any pounds over weight would be overweight. I'm like 50 pounds overweight... I would still be 5 pounds overweight, if I had 5 pounds only more to go. It's nothing to be upset about, it just is what it is, but I don't think she was being rude.

You are looking really good, lady. You are going to rock that aisle. If you stopped losing weight at this point would you still look good for your big day?

Fantastic progress!!! Well done you!0 -
Just to clarify, I haven't lost 16 pounds in a month LOL. I have fluctuated with my weight! In the past 3 months that's how much I've lost
Thank you for your kind words, Jgnatca to answer I feel OK, much better than before! Ideally, I would feel 100 times better if I reached my goal before the wedding!!!0 -
