All last week I was maintaining or slightly over. Yesterday at work we had some salsa and tortilla Chios so carbs were almost double what they normally are (still net under 50 g) and this morning I whooshed a pound down to 200.6. This happened a couple weeks ago too. Had a little higher carb day and whooshed the next day. Any ideas? I'm not complaining....just find it weird.

Hmmmmmmm. I hit a complete stall once I added exercise. The last loss I had was August 1. That's also when I started new exercise.
Prior to that I averaged 1.6 lbs a week.
    Me not happy

    Congrats on the whoosh! :)

If it helps make it less weird, I don't think there's any difference between 25g and 50g carbs in terms of weight loss. :) As long as your hunger is under control, your weight should be too.

This happened to me too when dieting. But I think it was the contrast from doing lowcarb and semi fasting during the week, then having a carb up + refeed on cals on Saturday when training very hard. Thereby reducing the impact of carb up and ketosis.

My guess is that by making a contrast, the body «relaxes» on the refeed. When you're truly relaxed in body and soul, body burns more fat...is my understanding on the subject. If body is constantly put into fight mode, for whatever reasons, it's literally shortchanging on fat loss. This is why good, quality sleep is one of the first things to try improve if stubborn fat loss/stalls, IMO.

Potassium rich foods on the carb up helps too ;)

    Anyway, congrats on the whoosh!
