Welcome! There's a lot of vegan and vegetarian users here, myself included Just be sure to pay attention to your calories as well - it's surprisingly easy to gain weight on a vegan diet. There's nothing automatically healthy about not eating animal products. To be honest, cutting easy sources of protein makes it harder to stay full after meals. Lots of people who are new to plant-based diets find that they fill up on processed carbs and sugars, whereas before they may actually have had a more balanced diet.
Also, 10kg is like 22lbs, right? Thats a pretty steep goal to achieve in a month. Typically 2lbs a week (just under a kilo) is good to aim for, max - less if you have less to loose. Its really easy to bun out if you arent eating enough, and veganism isn't an easy transition in and of itself. Take small steps and make lifestyles changes that will stick0 -
Being Vegan is not a quick fix for weight loss. It's entirely and all too easy to eat too much no matter what you eat. Losing weight is due to calorie deficit, or more calories out than in, and the types of foods you eat have little to nothing to do with it barring some medical issues and special cases.
I've been vegan for a really long time and have been varying weights throughout my life, but it's only been recently that I've ever been "thin" or "lean" and that was entirely due to Calories in less than calories out combined with tracking and accurately logging your food.
I mean, I wish you luck on your loss but your goal is unrealistic, unhealthy, and most likely not possible. The fastest healthy rate of loss is 2lbs per week or .9 kilos per week, not 22lbs/10kilos in 30 days.
I highly recommend that you examine your goals, look into how to healthily and effectively accomplish them, and move forward that way, a way that will be healthy.

Vegan is an ethical decision not a weight loss plan
How do you currently like to eat? Do that, eat less, adjust the higher calorie for lower calorie...hit your calorie defecit target across the week. Move more. Lift heavy stuff. Be patient
Don't set yourself time goals..just feel better ...healthier...and keep going0 -
I heard going vegan is good for weight loss.I have tried other diets too.But that didnt work.So now i am gona give it a last shot.Hope this one works0

There is no "last shot". I see by your profile that you want to lose 66 lbs. You can be successful, but need to stop "fadding" Slow and sure wins the race. Plug your info into MFP and see how many calories they give you. Buy a digital food scale and start weighing and measuring your food. Stay within your calories and you will start to lose in a sustainable way. Exercise to preserve your muscle mass, protein is important as are fats. You need to change your way of thinking. I wish you the best. Remember, you want to be happy with your body when you arrive at goal--right? Also, more fruits and vegetables are always a good thing, so I'm not against vegan, but not sure about your reason other than a quick weight loss. Not a good idea.0 -

If none of the other diets worked, then sad to say that this one won't either because if the other diets didn't work then it wasn't the fault of the diet, it was the fault of your motivation - or the calories of the diet. Calories are the most important thing for weight loss. You can eat whatever you like, really, and as long as you're under calories you'll lose weight.0 -
10 kgs in 30 days? I didn't know whether to take you seriously. What's the rush? You have $250k to win if you lose that fast? Whatever you do to lose weight remember that you have to do it for the rest of your life.
If you go vegan and have french fries everyday you still won't lose weight. Snowflake954 has already said: buy a digital scale, log every single bite you eat and aim to lose 1 to 2lb a week at the beginning and less as you get closer to goal. Why don't you give it a try for one or two months and see what happens0 -

You're fadding
Weight is based in calorie balance
You eat and drink calories - calories in
You burn calories by living, moving and purposeful exercise - calories out
Calories in < calories out over time = weight loss
You don't need to know anything else0 -

You're still missing the point. You shouldn't give anything a try for a month. You should be choosing a plan that you can stick with forever, not looking at this as a temporary "diet"
You need to have realistic, obtainable goals.
You need a calorie deficit.
You need a primarily nutrient dense diet. (When I say diet I mean the sum of all the things you eat not a named "type of diet" or way of eating.)
You should weigh and measure all your foods logging as accurately as possible.
You may want to leave room for treats.
You may want to exercise and if you do you should eat back at least a portion of those calories.
You need to be patient.

It's a smaller change than what you were planning to do
And it's sustainable0 -
There are bad vegans who eat fried food, etc. And plenty of vegans have poochey tummies. It's not necessarily a diet solution.0

Why does eating fried food make you a bad vegan?0 -
I agree that is too much weight to lose in a short period.
I have been vegan since April. The way I've found it helped me more than just dieting is that now I can't constantly eat fast food which has helped. But also portion, counting your calories and being active.0 -
For me, becoming vegan was an ethical decision, but I was/am on a journey to become an ordained Buddhist priest, and respecting all life is part of that. That said, I don't believe that any foods are inherently good or bad, and fried foods are delicious. I also don't believe in proselytizing my dietary choices and find that behavior like that does more harm than good. But, I will actively discourage people from attempting a vegan diet for the "wrong" reasons. if you're doing it for weight loss, it won't work... it's not a magic bullet and I don't believe in or recommend that anyone restrict anything that they don't plan on restricting forever as it's not a sustainable behavior model.
I currently will eat anything vegan that's put in front of my face if it fits my macros and calorie goals. I'm a firm believer in CICO, no matter what dietary choices you make as it's the only tried and true method that works for everyone barring some medical issue and provided you are accurately logging, which in my experience is where most people fudge things up... trying to "cheat the system" or not having enough time or inclination to accurately weigh everything. Guessing doesn't work.. just as it doesn't work in most other endeavors.
Good luck to you in your goals, but be very aware that we're talking lifestyle changes and not quick fixes as that's the only sustainable way to get from A to B.0
