DAY 4 - CARBS ARE OK...but

Hey FIT FAM!

Yes, it is okay to have your carbs with Breakfast and lunch. BUT after lunch not so much. This of course is assuming that your lunch takes place at around high noon --when the sun is at its highest peak which is about 1 p.m. Anytime after when the sun starts to drop, so does your metabolic rate. Which means that your body's ability to break down sugars slows down, leading to that sugar being stored. That excess sugar causes the body to produce insulin, which in turn hinders the body's ability to get rid of salt. That then leads to the retention of water, causing bloating, which then causes weight gain or makes it hard to lose any weight at all.

I'll definitely check out the article. It's just hard being on set to have a proper eating schedule. Like now, I'm starving and there's only popcorn and trailmix to eat.

  • Hey Kelly! Thanks for browsing through the post! You are going to have to prepare your meals to take with you. Having to work with a couple other working actors, busy Moms, CEOs-- food is the biggest deal breaker. They each have to prep their food to ensure they get everything their bodies need while working. Whether it's the long hours on set, on the road, or in the office. Same thing for me. Before bed, I go over the day schedule and determine based on the hours away from home, what meals and snacks I want to go with. Put them in containers and zip local bags. Next morning throw it all into your lunch sack and you're off! Otherwise it's trail mix and pretzels ---things that will only make it difficult for your body to lose the weight and unnecessary body fat. You have a goal to reach, but it's more than just the 8 weeks. It's building healthy habits to support great health for your life.

All of that to say: You and all of us have got to meal prep.
