Hey everyone! Sorry I was MIA. So, after my migraine on Tuesday...it led to emotions galore by Thursday and Friday. That sent me into one of my awesome depressive states. Talked to my dad and looked up some things on hysterectomy boards. No PMS for months and then having a doozy is pretty normal apparently. Still have my ovaries, but no uterus to interact with leads to menopausal type symptoms for PMS. Felt like I was back in adolescence. Had to work out what I'll do when this happens again. Avoiding social media will be number one. I don't get full blown depression, but I do spiral with physical symptoms. Listlessness, inability to accomplish anything, exhaustion. Doing mindless entertainment always makes me worse. Anyway, seem to have pulled myself out of that funk yesterday.
Start my training up in a week or so.
Sherry - glad your legs are doing so much better!
Laura - blisters are somewhat healed. But still have some funky toenails and some peeling skin.

In other news, my oldest was baptized this weekend. She was so excited and it was awesome for our family to watch!

That's about it. Cleaning up the kids rooms today and have a check up with my endo this morning as well. Also have to get emissions tested so I can renew my tabs. Exciting day (sarcasm there). :)

Val maybe you can check and see if certain supplements or foods can help. I was thinking if I had a do over since I went thru menopause so bad that I would change my diet to foods that help it.

Neighbor painting every morning for 4 days so here now, I had to go on trail instead of hike yesterday because hubby flaked on me, and it gets windy cold in afternoon, so planning to do trail alone this morning after a bit before winds.

    Hi!

val, I have been trying to casually ask friends about menopause (both natural, and artificial) every chance I get. I want to know what to expect, but I don't think it works that way. But it would seem, from what I'm picking up on, that mental health is something that needs the most attention but probably gets the least attention. I hope you can find some balancing strategies.

Marla, I wish I could borrow your neighbor. My whole place needs a fresh coat.

Long day with kindergarten parent meeting tonight. It's always so frustrating when I show up with my kids and they are the only kids there. But they were troopers and my son paid attention, at least for the first hour, and gave me the cliff notes at the end. Treated them to pizza afterwards, for being so good...and also because there was no way to cook, attend the meeting, AND get the kids to bed on time.

Meanwhile, I'm wearing out from my butt-squeezing. Lol. My neck, lower back, and legs are all sore. So I'm trying to just keep myself from leaning, keep my abs sucked in, and activate my glutes when I step. It's going to take a little time.

I'm going through peri-menopause and it's been a battle: depression, mood swings, underlying anger, anxiety, lethargy, etc. My doctor is keeping me on the depo provera shot because she believes that will help, and my ZMix instructor told me there's an essential oil supplement she takes every night, along with calcium and magnesium, so I do that. The supplement is called Barlean's Organic Oils Essential Woman and I get it from Amazon. The bottle says to take 9 a day but I just take 3 at bedtime. Last week when I was PMSing I probably should have bumped up my dosage. It does seem to help.

My run yesterday was derailed by my painful IT bands, so after running 1.34 miles (I was aiming for 3) I had to stop because it was getting worse instead of better. I had turned around shortly after a mile so I ended up with another mile walk back to my car, then I went to the gym & foam rolled really well. I had a good session with Jason after that.

Went to ZMix over lunch today, then went to a friends' after work to check on their cat. Now my cat is sprawled over my lap. :)
