polar ft7 giving me low heart rate readings

When I bought my polar the first day it was working fine, the heart rate readings where from 85bpm too 161bpm and burned around 500 calories in 1 hour but then it started to work weird it was giving me a 73bpm too 130bpm doing the same workout in the same intensity and burned 200 calories in 1 hour, I changed the battery on the sensor but it still doing the same it looks like I'm killing my self to much in order to get to 500 calories, what can the problem be?

    a warranty issue, send it back to polar for them to run some tests- i did this with my ft4 and i got my chest belt replaced due to it failed the testing all for free as it had 2 year warranty
