It’s cold outside and going to the gym seems daunting, especially when you are short on time because of that big exam coming up. There are many ways to incorporate exercise into your daily routine without going to the gym. First of all, make a goal that is realistic. Start small and work your way up to more intense and frequent workouts. It is okay to start out with walking everyday. Increase this to a light jog when YOU are ready. The American Heart Association recommends that adults get at least 30 minutes of moderate-intense aerobic activity 5 days per week or 25 minutes of vigorous activity at least 3 days per week. Add in moderate muscle-strengthening at least 2 days per week for additional health benefits.
