I made up a tutorial for a group I'm a part of, but apparently it's not allowed to be shared here so I can't show it to you. Been feeling kind of down lately, and the way I found that out didn't help in the least. Oh well, this too shall pass. Wrist won't stay in, knee won't stay in. My brother is going through h*ll because of his abusive spouse, step child, and son. It's been a week from h*ll in other words. This week has GOT to be better. Sorry for the vent. Just needed to get it out.

Lots of paint prep and painting this week. Didn't do any measurements last week. Have been in LOTS of pain in my arms and hands since starting the painting project, but I have to admit the Jeep turned out pretty nice. Rick did most of the work, but I still did some. :) At least enough to make my right arm useless for a while.

Things are starting to look up around here. Rick has been sick, scary kind of sick. Apparently he had acute pancreatitis brought on by Invokana. He is no longer taking the Invokana and is feeling much better! Our insurance fought tooth and nail against the medication to treat the pancreatitis because he is under 50, by four whole years. Finally got that straightened out, now they are fighting my breathing medication. Oh well, guess they'll either end up paying for the medication now, or my hospital stay later. We also have to change pharmacies as well, as the pharmacy we have been with since I was a child is no longer in their network.

I still have a finger that is messed up from sanding and painting the Jeep. Would it throw things off too much to lift with just me left hand? After all I can only use the crutch on the left side now, thanks to my shoulder going out. I don't think I will ever be able to use a crutch on the right side ever again, as that shoulder is just that weak now. What am I saying, I should never have tried to use one on that side because that shoulder has been dislocating since I was a baby.

Anyhow, that's enough of a book for this week. I hope you have a great week!

So glad this week is over! Still fighting trigger finger, my ring finger on my right hand is still numb from the pip joint to the tip of the finger, but at least with it numb it doesn't hurt, unless I bump it in the right (or should I say wrong) spot. I got a steam burn on my arm just below my right elbow. Ran into the door frame and made the burn blister. Ran into the door frame again and broke the blister. It scabbed over and I bent my arm and the scab cracked and it started to bleed. Ran into the door frame again and tore the scab right off. Accidentally kicked a piece of plywood and bruised my toe. Dropped my crafting table on my big toe.

I had offers of putting me in a plastic bubble this week to keep me from injuring myself. LOL Hope your week went better than mine!

This week has been so much better! I'm still fighting the trigger finger, but the pain is almost gone and the numb area is getting smaller! Now instead of 3/4 of the finger being numb it's only about 1/2. LOL

I really need to take a picture of all the bead work I've done lately so I can share it. I even broke down and ordered $100 worth of clothes this week! I HATE spending money on clothes. But when you can get four "bolder holders," two shirts, a nightgown, and a sweatshirt and matching sweatpants all for $100 you can't pass it up these days.

Nice - that makes me think of those chain puzzles where you try to get a ring off or something.

Of course - on your ear and someone trying to figure out the puzzle - perhaps not.

No bad incidents last week then - like shoulder dislocated on door frame or such?

You didn't mention, so I'm hoping that means no - so glad for you if that was the case.

Heard more now, a combination of his seatbelt and his life alert button broke his sternum. Please if you know someone who wears a life alert or anything similar make sure they don't allow it to rest under the seatbelt!!! They kept him for observation last night. I haven't seen him as of yet, so I don't know any of the details. I do know that it was a roll over. He turns 80 in September and he is the one we know we inherited hEDS from.

As much as I enjoy the first weekend in August, I'm glad it's over! Our annual party was Saturday. It was cold this year! Dad was released from the hospital in time to spend about an hour at the party before going home to relax in his recliner. Sunday was my great niece's second birthday party and party clean up. Today is finally rest day! I'm exhausted and in so much pain that I haven't eaten nearly enough in the last three days, but hoping to get back on track now.

It's been a rough month... We had the transmission replaced in the Jeep. Got it home and the check engine light came on. Reading was a bad crank sensor. Rick got to looking and somehow the wires got cut. We figure it somehow happened when they were changing the transmission. Rick ordered the parts and we sat home while waiting for them to come in. Dad rolled his Subaru. He's okay other than a broken sternum.

Got those parts in and headed out to do our "first of the month grocery shopping." Got an hour from home and the battery light comes on in the Jeep. We pull into Auto Zone and have them attempt to check the battery and alternator. Battery is too dead to do a proper check. New battery from them is around $200 that we don't have. A tow truck is $50 to hook up and $4/mile. We're around 50 miles from home...Call my brother. He just got home from work and hasn't even had supper yet. He says he'll bring a couple of batteries and see how far we can get. While we are waiting for him, I remember I have a cousin that lives near this town, but I don't have her phone number, but she works right across the street! Get the Jeep started and get it across the street to a bigger parking lot. We walk to the store my cousin works at. She just left, in fact Rick watched her pull out of the parking lot, but didn't know it was her at the time.

My brother shows up and we go up to Walmart and get another battery. $150 good thing we'd been saving for new computers. Start up the road to go home and the battery light comes back on. Well, guess it wasn't the battery. My brother thinks he can remember where our cousin lives. We make it there, just. The Jeep dies in the driveway. They pull the alternator and we head home, leaving the Jeep at my cousin's. When we get home Rick orders the new alternator. The next day our pocketbooks another $150+ lighter we head back to my cousins house to put the new alternator in. Hopefully that's the end of this saga!!!

So now I'm exhausted and still trying to get the house cleaned anyway.

Hear's to a much better week!!!

This week was much better! Yesterday was a little rough, but for different reasons. My jaw didn't want to cooperate nor did my knee, but I managed to get through yesterday. Nothing like trying to eat a burger and with every single chew my jaw would go out then back in with a click. Thankfully it doesn't hurt, it's just annoying. I guess it does hurt for some people. Now my knee on the other hand, that hurts! Every other step yesterday it went out and back in!

Hope you are all having a great week! Hoping to get some chainmaille in today!
