Ok..I did the low carb thing almost 2 years ago and lost 30 pounds. Unfortunately things happened and I gained it all back. I have now been back on track since February 9. I have lost almost 11 pounds. It seemed to have come off faster last time and now my weight is just not moving. My macros are always around 70, 20, 10. I do not understand what I am doing wrong and maybe I'm not doing anything wrong, but it's just so frustrating when I see on this board and others that eat the same things I am and are losing all sorts of weight and I'm just sitting here like.....ugh! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks you. :)

You're likely not doing anything wrong. You've lost 11 lbs in a month and a half which is really great. How much weight do you have to lose? If it's only the 30 lbs that you said you had gained back, that's gonna take a little time and probably move slowly. You are off to a great start and your body is not readjusting to the changes you have made. If you are consistent on your macros and are eating at a caloric deficit your body is burning fat, it just might take a little time to show up on the scale.

I started a year ago and I had times and still do where the scale did and does not move at all or goes up. I'm currently up over 2 lbs from my previous lowest weigh in. I know for a fact I did not gain 2 lbs of fat so I don't even let the scale get to me anymore. I'm down 35 lbs since I started and that includes me going off plan in October last year and and the scale going up about 12 lbs during that time.

My advice is, be patient, let your body heal and work on what it needs to and forget what the scale says. Also take photos if you haven't already, the only way I can tell from one month to the next if I'm headed in the right direction is with comparison photos.

Thank you. I just need to be patient. Maybe I do need to take some photos. I have never done that before but maybe that will show me some progress that the scale doesn't. ;) Congratulations on your weight loss!

    Ok, you've lost 1.8 pounds a week. That's fantastic!
I don't know how close to goal you are either, but weight loss slows way down for everyone at different rates that seem to get excruciatingly slow close to goal weight. I know that eating X amount of calories less than you burn is supposed to "equal" X amount of pounds lost... But it simply doesn't happen that way.
I've been showing a gain consistently for over a month now, but I've changed nothing. Actually, I am getting a few more steps a day than before, just because I'm busier, so, I should technically have had an increase in weight loss right? Nope! That's not my body's plan. It's clearly more concerned with something else, hopefully tightening up all this floppy skin on my belly! Which is a real thing that traditional CICO people probably don't recognize. After big losses, your body will do some maintenance on connective tissues and all sorts of things. You can force it to show you scale weight losses by eating crazy low calories and exercising like it's your job, but it'll offer up your lean tissue along with the fat you lose to slow down your metabolism to match the calorie intake.
Be patient and don't use the scale as your primary measure of progress. It will cause you to make bad choices for your long term health.
    And check out this.

Thank you so much for your input. I'm starting to obsess over everything and I know that's not going to work. I look at my macros and stress because I'm lower in fat today and higher in protein today, etc. It makes me want to throw in the towel when I get like that. I think I just need to take a step back and be good with what is happening and just keep working. Thank you again for making me feel better. BTW, I think I really do need to stop weighing every single day...gonna make me crazy!
