Always set your activity level to "sedentary" when using an activity tracker?

    So if I don't have a Fitbit what should I be setting myself at? The options are only "Not Very Active", "Lightly Active", "Active" or "Very Active". I don't see "Sedentary"?

    You wouldn't be double dipping if you have negative adjustments enabled, because it will deduct calories if you aren't as active as whatever you have your mfp goal set to.. but I do it the same way as you. I like to set it to sedentary so that I always start out with the bare minimum of calories, and then it adds to it throughout the day.

    sedentary is whatever the lowest activity level is
