FYI - Men's health and Glamour reported on a study saying the average burn for men is 100 cals, 69 for women. That's for an average 25 minutes session including your warmup. (Please don't skimp on the warmup.)

Alcohol, caffeine, and drugs may slightly increase burn.

Feel free to feed your lover that extra chocolate-covered strawberry, 3 oysters, 8/10ths of a serving of Champagne, or a 100 cal pack of Oreos!

I mean, as far as I know, nobody makes a sensor that measures your thrust rate per minute like people do with running cadence.

    "Indoor cardio."

Well, sometimes outdoor cardio. Maybe it's a "lap" in the hike.

And...sometimes fitbit will assume you're riding a bike.. funny, mine has also logged an anxiety attack as a bike ride.
