The Merry Gentleman, what a great movie! I don't typically like romance movies. I'd classify this as romance/suspense and romance only because there seemed to be chemistry there, not any actual acts. I love anything Michael Keaton works in and the story was really interesting. The ending left me with questions, but I am certain that was the intention.0

I watched the trailers to Eastern Promises and Falling Down, cannot decide which one first but wow, they both look great! Eastern Promises looks pretty graphic, might be closing my eyes and going eww a lot. Lol0

Very very powerful movie. There are scenes that will make you cringe and look away, but it all has a purpose.
Which one? I found 4 with the same name? Do you recommend it?
Highly!!!!! It will make you cringe and tell out. It's not what you would expect.
It's the 2018 film.
The trailer looks absolutely frightening. I'll watch it, but it's one of those films I'll need to psych myself up for first. Sadder still, it no doubt happened... humanity at its worst.
Looks like a well made film though. I'll let you know when I watch it.
I'm kicking myself I haven't actually seen this yet.
Based AF

I've been watching thrillers lately; not sure why because they're not usually what I'd pick first. I've got Polaroid on my watchlist so maybe that's my next pick. Dh wants to watch Bad Education with Hugh Jackman tonight. Any thoughts on that movie?
I like Romantic Comedies, as a general rule, but they're probably not high on your list of faves.
I'm not a tv person, it's hard for me to sit through something if it doesn't grab me. Before I found I See You with Helen Hunt, I must've watched about 5 trailers, one of them being The Rainmaker with Matt Damon; I like Matt Damon a lot but OTOH cannot stomach Danny DeVito. Lol
Have fun
Eastern Promises (one of my favs)
Sicario (first one)
Wind River (on Netflix)
The Reader
The Constant Gardener
Shutter Island
C.R.A.Z.Y
Infinitely Polar Bear
Reservation Road
Lars and the Real Girl
The Ides of March
Also, he is not the only one.
Eastern Promises is nails
so is: A History of Violence
agreed History of violence- is great as well0 -

The Seventh Seal (1957)
This movie has been on my Google Play wishlist for months as I'd seen it referenced as a "must see movie" Well, whadoyaknow? It's about a pandemic and the philosophy of death all directed by a guy who, in real life, apparently had issues with his ultra-religious father.
Black and white. Subtitles. Allegory. All the stuff that tends to pique my interest.
Is it 100% relevant to the current global pandemic? No, but it's a good (virtual) watch party option.0 -

That movie was from director, Ingmar Bergman. Great movie.
Find 'Winter Light' by him. It's also very thought provoking.
