How many of you are satisfied with your exercise but unhappy with your nutrition? How many times have you started over with eating healthy?

I'm happy with both...I've been at this whole good livin' thing for going on 4.5 years...the whole process has been very much an evolutionary one for me. I never started over with anything...I didn't make any abrupt, overnight changes to my nutrition...those changes came incrementally over time as my diet evolved. I started out pretty simple...I identified one area of my diet that I could work on cutting down on and/or eliminating and one area that I could improve upon by adding something.

For example, I was at one point drinking anywhere between 3-5 sodas per day...I saw that as probably the worst area of my diet in regards to something void of nutrition that I was consuming a lot of and an easy way to eliminate calories by cutting back...conversely, in my logging I saw that I was very lacking in fruits and veg...so I made efforts to get my veg and fruit up to around 6 servings per day most days. Basically I did this with many things and just chipped away at old habits and incorporated new ones. I don't know too many people who are great with abrupt, overnight changes to everything they normally do.

I was very much the same way with exercise...I focused first on just moving more...getting out on regular walks...a bit later I signed up for a 5K and started a program to train for that...a few months in I got myself back into the weight room with a legit program for the first time in my life...a year later I was training for a sprint triathlon...

For me, it was all very incremental adjustments to my habits and made things very manageable...no need to stop and start again.

I don't do intentional exercise, but I'm very happy with how I eat-been successfully maintaining a bmi of around 21 for several years now and all my health markers /blood work are great :)

I'm happy with both exercise and diet. I eat what I like but pay attention to protein, fibre and micros. If I had eliminated my favourite foods, I would be rather unhappy.

I really like my nutrition; I think I finally am getting it right! My exercise is a work in progress.

I have started "eating healthy and exercise" a million times, always with a mix of dread/enthusiasm. I have fallen off the "healthy eating and exercise" wagon a million times, always with a feeling of personal failure.

I have found my happy place now. No planned exercise, but lots of planned meals and some good structure. No foods to avoid, no pressure to eat anything I don't want. Not going to exhaust myself for no good reason. No more struggle to maintain weight. Yes, I like this life.

My exercise routine is pretty well on point.. I am trying to add an extra day of lifting in per week so that is my goal right now. I would prefer to do some cardio but I will eventually.

My nutrition isn't that great to be honest. In order to hit my goals I have to eat a lot (bulking).. huge portions and sometimes more 'junk' than I prefer.. I feel bloated and full at the end of the day.. but again, I will eventually get back to normal since this is just temporary.

When I was younger and a lot less educated, I would kill myself with workouts, but hardly pay attention to what I was eating. Surprisingly, not great results. Over the years, I've put more effort into the foods I eat, eating in moderation, and working to keep a deficit when I want to lose. I'm not a gym goer type, but I've come to an understanding with exercise that I don't have to do 2 hours a day if I don't want and that it can actually be fun. I eat the best way I can most of the time and I'm active when my schedule allows. Very happy where I am at this point.
