    Ok what not to do. Woke up with a 163 then went down to 130. I snacked more than I should have and was 243 before dinner. Took my dose pet sliding scale and added 2 units to account for dinner, well that backfired and I dropped to 66 after dinner (scared my family). Current/before bed number is 134. I’m tired. :/:/:/;)

    @ConleighS ,

    wow, that's quite a drop--what insulin dosage did you actually take ? and what kind (Humalog/Novolog/Levemir/Lantus)?

    Are you a type-1 diabetic? (i.e. they are more sensitive to insulin than type-2 diabetics).

    I'm a type-2 diabetic and back in early 2017 when my BGs would get up to & over 250 mg/dl, I'd need 20-30 units of Humalog/Novolog to bring that back down to 100 mg/dl, so adding 2 additional units of insulin wouldn't have done much of anything for me.

    @BarneyRubbleMD, IKR!? Per sliding scale I was to take 6 units of Humolog. I took 8 because dinner was going to be Tri tip, potatoes ya gratin, potato salad, Caesar salad, holiday Cole slaw and tamales and Mexican chili. . Plus various sweets. I ended up full and didn’t eat what I thought I would.

    Right now they have me listed as T2 but I feel I am more T1.5 or full T1 because of my pancreas problems (gastric says I have probably 20% left. I am going to Endo tomorrow and going to ask to be retested. I take 12 units of levemir before bed and was 120 awakening

    241 :p I had small salad of lettuce cheese and teriyaki chicken. Maybe 4oz. And maybe a handful of cereal snack. Ugh.
