First I would say eat when you are hungry and stop when you are satisfied. Sometimes that means skipping a meal or eating a tiny snack. That is a major helper. But ALWAYS eat when you are hungry.

For my breakfasts I eat protein with fat and no veggies. Then for lunch I will eat a burger with a small salad and Caesar/ranch dressing. Dinner is my most carbs and I make a fatty piece of protein (ribeye, pork belly, oxtail, chicken thighs, sea bass) and then add a veggie and a small handful of salad.

I find if you eliminate nuts (it's easy to mindlessly eat a million), keep your cheese at 4 oz, heavy cream at 2 oz. that way you can ensure you are eating a decent amount of leafy greens and non starchy veggies. I enjoy a gin and le croix (sparkling water) with lime and stevia on occasion. I sometimes eat berries with a dallop of whipped cream. Even a piece of dark chocolate 70% and higher.

It seems highly restrictive but you get used to it and it's really enjoyable. I find keeping my carbs this low helps me not crave carbs like I used to. The key is track your heart out so you know what's left in your bank and enjoy accordingly. You're going to do great!

That was probably an auto correct above but it is Dr. Westman. Eric Westman, Duke University in case someone wants to look at his videos and such. His "page 4" has gotten pretty famous in a short period of time.

If you know - is this list for maintenance as well as induction?

    Dunno.
The 2nd page of "Page 4" is equally valuable. His "don't eat" list makes sense. A pdf of his 16 pager can also be found on line. I like the way he keeps things simple.
