Make the Better Choice (MTBC) - 06/25/2017

All of us are faced with those times when making the "best" choice is something that isn't going to happen. Sometimes that is by circumstance...sometimes by limited choice...or sometimes personal preference.

DOCKANZ, a GoaD stalwart for several years, coined the phrase "Make the Better Choice" (MTBC) several years ago, and it's become an anchor for several of us on GoaD over the years. Basically, if you can't make the BEST choice...make the BETTER choice. You can, at least, do that much.

So - how have you made the better choice today?

I have been trying to do this without returning to the WW meetings. Today, I let go of the ego/pride that was keeping me from what helped me in the past. I returned it to my first Weight Watchers meeting in years. It felt good to be back.

Today was tough.. home all weekend, plenty of opportunities to get silly with food. Made a plan this morning, and pretty much stuck to it through the day... a bit further under than I usually am due to long workouts, but probably not going to eat any more today.

@GavinFlynn1 , +1 for a good meeting! I've been fortunate to have a great leader and a generally good, participatory group since I started with WW in 2014. I don't go every week anymore but I start feeling a little hinkey without the meeting if I don't go at least every other week. If the dynamics changed, I might too but I can relate to you feeling good about that leg of support. Glad it's working of ya!

As for the better choice, we went out to a local burger joint last night. I love small business and try to make that choice whenever I can. Anyway, I got their signature burger which is small and compact (but pretty loaded). No fries, no onion rings, no chocolate shake. It felt good to MTBC!
