Whole novels seem to be a problem for me so I’ve resorted to short stories. 😊

I just finished 2 by Khaled Hossieni: "The Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns". I highly recommend them, but read them with a box of Kleenex - oh, so sad. :( But so well written. They're about children in Afghanistan.

Now I'm reading "State Of Fear" by the late, great Michael Crichton. It's about climate change and some of the propaganda surrounding it. It's not an easy read because he backs up his statements with facts in footnotes that you can't possibly avoid reading if you want to understand what some of the brainiac characters are saying. I'm learning a lot!

My daughter just purchased a book for me titled Catacombs by Mary Anna Evans. I'm hoping to start this tomorrow and finish it over the weekend.

I'm about half way thru it... enjoying it so far. Nothing earth shattering, but a lot of context and nuance that I hadn't really thought about before.
