The most common problem with cheap display swords is that the "tang" (the pointy bit that the handle attaches to on the bottom of the blade) is really short and often only clipped or glued in.

Why is this on your mind, Cee?

Because when I was practicing chopping off my mannequin's head in my friend's kitchen, the dang blade flew off and impaled the dishwasher.

In all fairness, it's lunch time, she should have been at the stove cooking instead of washing the dishes.

    Sandwiches don't take that long.

we should have a thread like “whats your problem?!?” where people just air their grievences but less passive aggressively than the vaugue thread

Sounds like a good idea Sun, what, wait? There's passive aggressive in there? :o

When people do a good deed, then run to social media to share that they just did a good deed, I don't know why, but that really irks me.

I hate that too. I wish there was a way to automatically filter out virtue-signaling.

“Virtue signalling is the conspicuous expression of moral values done primarily with the intent of enhancing social standing. The term was first used in signalling theory, to describe any behavior that could be used to signal virtue—especially piety among the religious. Wikipedia”.......... just in case there is anybody here as clueless as me who has never heard the term before.

Also, I agree.... when you do a good deed and feel it necessary to tell everyone, it’s not a good deed anymore, it’s personal marketing.
