Vaping isn’t really better for you than smoking. You are still inhaling irritants into the lungs, and you can develop what is known as popcorn lung. But if it helps you to wean off nicotine so you can kick the habit...kudos to you.

This is an urban legend. Vaping does not cause popcorn lung. The chemical used in microwave popcorn (thus the name) Diacetyl has been linked to this disease. Some vape liquids contain it but due to this issue many have removed it. You can look for Diacetyl free e-juice.

    Congrats on choosing to quit.

I gained weight while vaping. I chose to gain and get a good bulk going to avoid the feeling that cigs were helping with weight loss in ANY WAY POSSIBLE. the weight gain loss can be a detriment to any person trying to quit.

Quitting is the best thing you can do for your health.
I'm sure plenty o ppl didn't gain switching from cigs to vaping. It helps to have a plan and execute it, NO MATTER WHAT.

Yes, we have tried reducing quite a few times, but always end up going back up as it's just like puffing on air and makes us vape even more looking for that throat hit. A couple of months ago we decided not to reorder nicotine, and let me tell you that was the worst week ever. My husband and I were constantly bickering the whole time.. It was a worrying experience and puts me off of trying again. It really sh*ts me that this stuff has such a strong hold over me :rage:
FTR we add 2ml of nicotine to 30ml of juice. I don't know if that's a lot or not compared to what others use??

I'm currently on the lowest dose my e-cig will go before being zero and you are so right - it's like puffing on air! I'm trying to stick it out in hopes to quit vaping all together within the next 1-2 months.
