I forgot to weigh myself before getting dressed this morning, so I'm at 82.4 kilos (starting weight was 80 k). I'll do it before going to bed and again tomorrow morning. I presume it's best to weigh yourself in the morning 🤷

@Hilogirl2018 we can do this!!! Baby steps.

I read a good reminder from Beck today … Tuesday Reality Check: Losing weight may be a slow process, but quitting won't speed it up.

@MadisonMolly2017 - your record is inspiring

    Thank you @Lilylady3k !

"Quitting won't speed it up"- YES! This is what I need to remember when I get discouraged. I also like the reminder here that weight loss is sloooow. Patience wins, always.

@MadisonMolly2017 thanks, I'm starting to feel like I'm building the momentum that's so critical to sticking with this long enough to see the results that are then so motivating. Starting and keeping it up for the first week or so is usually where I struggle because the mindset isn't there yet. Now I'm entering the phase where my thinking is "this is just what I do."

I think starting IS the hardest part - for the reasons you describe!

I think it’s also One of the reasons why maintenance can slip through our fingers ...because it can be difficult to get back into the wt loss train.

I’m motivated to maintain my weight so I don’t have to go through that start up phase again (as I had to Jan-March of this year for just a few pounds) LOL I’m not very good at just turning on the losing weight switch!

    You’ve got this!
