I was raw vegan for six months. I was super skinny but no period and it was quite an isolating diet and required lots of exercise. I miss it because now I'm counting calories eating normal food. Protein and fat. I'm eating less calories I was on raw but looking chubby! Anyone ever had this experience? Has anyone successfully transitioned from raw to cooked

“Looking chubby” is often connected to water retention, which can happen when you change your diet. Some people retain water when they eat more salt and/or carbs. If you know you haven’t increased your calorie intake, then it’s likely water weight.1

Not me personally but a friend of mine did. I recommend looking up Unnatural Vegan on YouTube, she used to be raw as well & now eats cooked food & uses proper nutrition.0

Sorry but you aren't gaining weight unless you're eating in a calorie surplus.0

Something about your words makes me wonder if you are seeing yourself accurately in the mirror. Does your GYN or other medical professional who sees you only partly clothed agree with your assessment that you are "super chubby"? Because you say you became "super skinny" or raw vegan you may have lost too much weight and are just having trouble transitioning back to a healthy weight.
Maybe post some pictures here? We'd be happy to give you a reality check.
I had vegan friends who went raw for a while and also found it unsustainable. They just started eating cooked vegan foods again. None were doing it for weight loss, so didn't have the weight loss/weight gain issue.3 -

I don't understand the part about the raw diet "required lots of exercise" yet you were skinny, and now you are not? If you were too thin and lost your period, but now you aren't, perhaps this is a healthier weight for you.0
