Day 7 on my string
Ended up staying in AC overnight. We met friends for dinner and my son and girlfriend surprised us and joined us for the evening. Probably for a free dinner but I am going to pretend otherwise Lol! Stayed within my calorie goal but need to work on getting a back bone. I agree to things too easily. I tried something new(that was not what I planned) and it was delicious but I am sure not the healthiest. I ate 1/2 and gave the rest to my brother in law. I am going to be proud that I ate only half because it was something I wanted to finish it was so good. I was full and knew I would be uncomfortably full in a little bit so I stopped. Big NSV for me! Lol! Btw-we aren't big gamblers, our town sorta shuts down for the winter and it is a good meeting place for his brother who lives near there. Today is funny, I actually want to have a light eating day...That is not the usual me! Lol! I have nothing ahead before Christmas eve so I should have a good weekend. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
@dananaNanas It is terrible that insurance treats mental health is terribly. I wish you could see someone now. I hope you are hanging in there and at least confiding in your husband. I wish I could be more help. Hugs. Nice weigh in. Basically maintaining That is good especially this time of year!
@lenka1 Hope you are feeling better
@lyssysho26 sounds like you are doing great! Congrats on that big loss from August! That is amazing!
@mrsbell8well. Glad the meeting went well. Your snack looks yummy! Love how you plated it. Looks like you were at a restaurant
@amsandos. Looks like you had a great day!
@nstephenson- it is nice that your neighbors have those get together since you probably wouldn’t see them too often. otherwise. It’s pretty cool you may have a new hiking friend too! Good restraint on the fudge. 3 isn’t too bad. Sounds like you have a good plan for the party. Btw, I had a similar experience with home made wine lol!
@cyndiesstuff I wish there was something you could do to get some relief. Hugs.
@phoebe112476. Look at that progress!! Is that an app or a scale?

@cyndiesstuff there is a time for everything. So sorry about your pain. Hoping your healing time is quickly approaching.

@code4food Congrats on baby news! very exciting. And we would love to have the extra support on the cheerleading squad!1

@sleepymom5 great NSV. You are acting like a "normal thin" person. That's what they do. They end up getting full and stop eating....what a crazy concept when there is still delicious food on your plate. I went home last night wanting some raw macadamia nuts. I served myself about 1/4 cup. I ate 1/2 of them and put the rest in a snack baggie. In the past I too would have eaten what ever was in front of me. I too am trying hard to listen to my body what it needs, how much and when. It feels very comforting to be so self-nurturing.3

update on my moon launch. The rocket never made it to the moon. So sad. Yogurt, cheese and fermentation were all a disaster. So I went out spent $10 and bought delicious product already made. I like the adaptogen recipes in her moon juice cookbook and the juices. Actually the crackers are good too. But it is once again a stepping stone into my new adventure. Raw food. Now that I have the dehydrator and tons of supplies I am good to go. It is still basically eating lots of raw fruits and veg which I already do. But you also can "cook" crackers, cookies, and other delectables by dehydrating them at 105-118 degrees. It keeps the enzymes in food alive. It is at this point a very small step into this new direction. Maybe shoot for 80-90% in New Year. I bought a few more books from thrift.com from Ani Phyo.
I have also decided to start using "green" cleaners for the home. I found an online source and received a nice box of supplies last week.
Now I just need home time to get things organized in my pantry. And my life. Especially with a new job possibility looming in the New Year. It will be more hours. But more money. I will confess my embarrassment of having spent way too much money on my moon supplies. Molly has cut me off from Amazon.com. Waaah. Okay...I will just go make more money. lol. but good budget stuff is also on my upcoming to do list. I want so much to be perfect at all of it right now! I have such good days then...blahhhhh.
today is day 52 of straight days of yoga. Has anyone else been on track with their December yoga commitment?
Breathe everyone...this is a time for joy and blessings...right???
I have thought about this last night. What do we see when we look around us? Our coworkers, fellow shoppers, family members??? Even characters on tv shows. I saw a picture of Katie Holmes and Jamie Fox. They were laughing and so connected and full of joy. How often do we see joy and happiness depicted in our lives? I wonder what would it take for us to spring out of bed each morning excited to start your day? Just wondering what that would involve. I get pretty fired up and passionate about too many things. Trying to find the balance. Maybe in the New Year?

STEP CHALLENGE DECEMBER WEEK 2 WINNERS!!!

Happy Saturday everyone. I think I’m almost ready for Christmas. All the gifts are wrapped and most of the shopping is done. I have 2 sons aged 26 and 29. They spend Christmas Eve at my house and they don’t like me to put the gifts under the tree under after they have gone to bed - just like when they were little!! A couple of years ago I put the gifts out ahead of time and they were disappointed!! So if it makes Christmas a little more magical for them, I set my alarm really early and sneak the presents under the tree. One of them has a girlfriend he is bringing so I’m going to do the same for her!!!5

My Christmas Eve celebration is on hold. Hubby has been sick for a few days, staying in bed mostly and not eating. My kids have been informed and don't really want to come around the illness (possible pneumonia the doctor said) and I don't blame them. He is better today after taking Rx meds but not back to normal. We may end up at my daughter's house Monday or Tuesday.
I have not been keeping up with the exercises on the Advent Calendar. I have been eating light - cooking a few things I like that he doesn't. Still getting in a lot of steps daily though and was down a pound yesterday.5 -

@amsandos a very respectable day! Good job
I was sharing my joy thoughts w Molly. She said “Skylynn wakes up like that!” It’s so true and so cute. Our 9 year old granddaughter wakes up chirping w the birds. She is daily full of joy and excitement about all that life has to offer. So precious to have beautiful children as our role models.3 -

Survived the Winter Solstice party last night. Phew. Done with social engagements until New Year's eve. Going out for sushi tonight. Because of hubby's job we weren't able to be home for Christmas last year. Super excited to be able to spend it at home this year. Family and friends are all doing their own thing. Looking forward to a few quiet days just the dogs and hubby. Let it snow, let it snow... let it snow!!4
