Successes: Have avoided most Xmas temptations and kept to a modified version of my way of eating, exercise, and managed not to regain this week (actually had a loss!), while still eating lots of nice food.
Challenges: Festive season. Stress and challenge of eating my way while staying with family, as well as handling difficult extended family dynamics. I've kept to time-restricted eating, low-carb, whole foods, but not worried about intermittent fasting while I am away.
End of year wrap up: many thanks to @tammierlewis for this challenge, it has helped keep me accountable and on track. I've had a great year, and am now only a few lbs from my goal weight. In this time I have also reversed my insulin resistance, sluggish thyroid, stopped my "epic" snoring problem, have so much more energy and feel a million times better.
Next year my goal will be to maintain this loss, to keep to my new healthy habits, and not put it all back on (that would be a very different 52 Pounds in 52 Weeks Challenge: "Regain," the sequel!!!). I've chosen "optimise" for my 2020 inspiration word, to continue to build on the changes I've already made, to eat more green leafy vegetables, to increase strength, fitness and flexibility, all in a sustainable way that fits in with my everyday life.

I didn't hit my 52 pounds in 52 weeks goal so that is a bummer but I am choosing to be happy with the weight loss that I did have. I learned a lot and I spent 4 months off the rails with my eating. I am most happy that I managed to get back on track. This challenge really helped with that. I didn't want this challenge to be another thing that I started and didn't finish so knowing that I was committed to posting really helped me regain control. Here's to beginning a new year and a new challenge!3 -

Hi everyone so i was doing great with this app like 3 years ago. Then i fell off the deep end with fitness, and life lol. I have gone through divorce and had another kid drinking a ton and eating unhealthy packing on lbs since then. 4 kids have not been under 140 since my first. Im really hoping to embrace loving myself and body as a single mom thos year and work towards getting back on track. Love these challenges.

I started on the Jan 20/19 so still have 3 more weeks to reach my 52 weeks and hopefully another couple gone by then. Thank you to tammierlewis for creating the challenge and although I never had 52 pounds to loose (my goal is 40- 45) I still have a ways to go so will continue in the new group for 2020 and look forward to seeing everyone's success.3 -

Hello everyone! I joined this group last January and I did great for 5 months, but I couldn’t seem to stick with it after that. I would like to do a restart. Even though I am down 12 lbs since last year, I feel like I had to fight just to maintain that. With all that said, I’m hoping for a better 12 months:)
