I owe this group and the JFT goals to losing 25 lbs last year. Unfortunately I slacked a lot this summer and am now only 20 lbs down, but Iβm starting to be more focused and in control this week and am going in the right direction again.4 -
@faebert and @snowflake1968 thank you for your kind words. I am staying at my parents tonight and eating out tomorrow so there maybe a delay before the scale and I see eye to eye! I've tried to drink plenty of water today and make good choices!1

I've just logged yesterday's food with a lot of guess work and I was way into the red. Despite all I ate last night, I've woken up feeling really hungry. I have the kitchen to clear from last night's meal with friends and the scales were very unkind to me this morning. Not the best way to start the day!

I helped my friend again today and broke the news that I canβt help her all weekend next weekend. Today she gave me some shirts and sweaters. I love her clothes sonit works well.
I splurged a bit today food wise. With the activity setting up for the yard sale should balance it out ok. I helped her for 4 hours and counted it as 3 general cleaning, there were a lot of stairs involved and I did some work myself at home a bit so hopefully it balances out.
See you all tomorrow evening!2 -
Morning all. Not a great start to the day for me. Started my workout and realised about 5 minutes in that my hip/groin is too sore so I had to stop. Then made the mistake of googling and have now managed to convince myself that I have a pelvic stress fracture! Anyway, deep breath and move on! Hard not to feel like a failure when skipping planned exercise but I know that this is the sensible decision....

Good morning everyone!
I'm up early today. I actually got up at 5am. T and I went to the gym "together" this morning. As in, we went to our own gyms but went at the same time. Lol. But I did it and my arms are jelly at the moment. Right now I'm sitting in the laundromat waiting for my clothes to dry. I usually fold them here but I think I'm just gonna shove them in my bag and then fold them at home. It's really warm in here. Lol. I have a list of things that I want to do today. So those will be my goals. Now that I have so much time off and Matt goes back to work tomorrow there is a lot of things I want to get done. Lol.
So here we go!
JFT 8/12/19
1. Up at 5/Gym
2. Laundry
3. Send out 2 resumes
4. fold clothes
5. Look over budget
6. Call Finance guy

Weekly Weigh-In = When I'm active I eat back calories. My weaknesses: I love food... my sweet tooth, especially chocolate... portion control... FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). Saturday a.m. is my MFP weigh-in logging day, and I peek occasionally other days. My digital scale only shows half pound increments & I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale. No goal dates set ~ this is not a diet but my lifestyle.

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I had a nice day Saturday with my husband. We went to one of the grands' birthday party and then went bumming at an antique mall. It was nice. But like always, the weekend went by too fast!
I'm really struggling to pull myself out of this anxiety-filled dark hole I'm in...worrying about my parents, kids, my health, my job and everything else. I cannot control any of it, so I need to find some time to just go to a quiet place where I can sit and reflect, meditate and pray to try to find some peace. I cannot live with this much turmoil inside, trying to fix things that I have absolutely no control over. I need to keep faith that things will be okay. Things will work out the way they are supposed to, and I just need to sit back, let it unfold, and deal with one thing at a time.
For my goals on here, I'm focusing right now on logging my food but not worrying about whether I stay in the green or not. I just need to get in the habit of logging food again. I need some routine in my life. The OCD in me is screaming at my lack of organization!
Just for Today (Monday):- Journal every bite, good & bad
- WATER, 68+ oz
- Activity: Hit my FitBit steps goal
- Self-Care: Find 30 minutes of quiet time alone
- Think before I speak. Be kind even when I'm feeling impatient inside.
I hope everyone is doing well. Hugs all around! :flowerforyou: xxoo

Howdy all! Hope you are all doing well!
I totally didn't get on line last week. Even removed my work email from my phone so I wouldn't get sucked in. My boss did text me a few times, but they were only minor disruptions. I did do laundry every day when I was gone, but nothing major mostly just beach towels. All in all it was a very relaxing trip. There were 4 teenage girls and zero drama. That was a blessing indeed. Unfortunately, walking into my house and back to the real world immediately popped my happy little bubble. Responsibility and work are still here. I really need to be independently wealthy and just hang out with my family and friends in beautiful places.
I tried to ignore my current weight while I was there and not be super paranoid. Spent a lot of time of the beach, went parasailing, boating (watched kids go tubing) and horseback riding. I did pretty good until they made me weigh for horseback riding. I really didn't want to see that number. I told myself I'd get back on track when I got home, but truth be told I'm not doing so well today. It's kind of like I've given up and am just self destructing. The whole all or nothing pit of "if I can't do everything right, I might as well do everything wrong". Or perhaps I've just forgotten what it takes to start over. I know, one small change...blah, blah, blah... I'm not even listening to myself right now.
I think back to my 25 year reunion. There were so many women there who just looked like they'd given up on life. No light in their eyes, heads down, no real attempt to look nice or interact, and now that is who I'm becoming. I obviously don't want this to happen, but seems to be. I've become timid where I once was adventurous, I only bother to try to look nice when I have to. Even then, I don't feel put together. That's fine for a lazy day, but day to day I just feel disgusting. My clothes are not fitting and yet I don't reign (or is it rein- IDK) myself in. I reach for immediate gratification knowing it is detrimental to my well being. This year I have gained 30 pounds. I'm bigger than I have been in YEARS. I seriously don't know where to start. That sounds stupid to say being that I know a ton about health and fitness, but I'm at a loss.5 -
