Tonight I went to my running club presentation evening. I received an award for qualifying in the road championship. I also came 2nd (out of 2) in my age category 😀
My big suprise was being awarded the Fairclough Trophy. This is a non running, member led award. Members nominate the club member they think had been the most inspiring over the last 12 months - and I was the winner ... I'll be honest, there were tears.

@k80flec: Congratulations on your awards. Honestly, I am not a bit surprised about your award. You always seem to inspire and encourage everyone on here; so not surprised it would be any different with your club. You should be very happy to receive such a gracious award.
I posted the jar thing as a motivator to our weight loss group. I added a money jar for my workouts and reward myself with some new fitness gadget.
@Dave: As I stated before, I enjoy your memes!
Jan. 26: Adding 19 miles today, 3 walking miles and 16 easier cycling miles, as the cyst in my ACL is causing lots of irratation to the point that I want to do the old, hit it with a big book treatment.
TTD: 321.75 miles

Hi there. Sorry I've been AWOL this week. I'm in California with my mom. I don't have a scale here and it's awfully hard to eat right away from home but I'm trying. Fingers crossed I haven't GAINED anything.
Too many posts to comment on them all but a special congrats to clepant and k80flec on your awards. Keep the memes coming Dave, no one here is going to sue you LOL.
@k80flec, have your friends done Boston? Can they qualify?
We're entering what I like to think of as "golden week." At the end of the month lots of people make their goals and it's really fun to update the spreadsheet and see it turn gold. So ... drumroll... a big congrats going out to @lovemyalex , @clepant and @cpanus for making goal. Well done!2 -

It is the same here in my area of the US. My brother has been sick for weeks and every time I turn around, someone is hacking. I hope you continue to feel better.

Congratulations to @lamlam2013 and @sussexbythesea - another goal crushed!2 -
@clepant and @cpanus Great jobs on the weight loss. I too, have forgotten to log mine. I was 1458.8 the first time, and 144.2 today. That's up a bit from yesterday, but a killer TRX/kettle bell class has made me sore and I know that means lots of water came with it.
@k80flec Congrats to you! Well deserved and not a surprise here
The weather wasn't too bad, so 3.5 miles walking around the lakes.

To one of our Move Your @ss Inspirers (k80flec), good job on the award but like the others have said "really no surprise!"
Ran a temp Thursday & Friday. Got in my two classes Thursday night but had ZERO energy. Friday started on antibiotics & did NO type of exercise nor on Saturday but today I feel better & did 12 on the ex bike.
Hope you ALL get well & stay healthy!!!

Good job to all my weight logging accountability partners! My husband told me that I am back to my healthy mindset again.Once I got over my feelings of being down about running, I realize that I need to focus on healthy no matter what it is I do. I am thankful that God gave me a season in my life to enjoy running. Now I will move on and put my heart in biking, kayaking and other things. Thank you to all who have uplifted me when my knee issues got me down.
Have a great week everyone! And for those that are hitting the deep freeze, stay safe and warm.
