Weight training?

Hey guys, this morning I went to a "Group Power" class at my gym, and I loved it! It really challenged me and I can already feel the definition forming in my muscles...I want to make this a habit to add to my cardio, but my question is, how often should I weight train? 2-3 times per week? More often? Or less often? I want to build muscle to help me continue to burn fat but I'm a newbie to this aspect of fitness!

I'm guessing that in the class you are doing a total body workout. If so then 3 times a week would be great. Just make sure that you don't take the class 2 days back to back. When it comes to building lean muscle, you'll make your gains at rest. You've got to give your muscles time to repair themselves. If not then you'll be doing more harm than good. You'll be amazed at the change you will start to see in your body by weight training. You're going to love it.

Yes, three times a week, every other day and you will love the way you feel and look. You won't get big showie muscles but you will get definition. You will also gain confidence in yourself. It's awesome! Enjoy. Vickie0

To build muscle, you will need to do it from 2-3 days a week. Three days of weight training and 3 days of cardio.
Good luck!
