    Day 47: 197.7 Working on fat adaption for Keto. Weight starting to go back down.
    Day 48: 197.4 It’s moving like an inchworm, but in the right direction so I’m happy!
    Day 49: 196.4 A nice even whole pound gone forever!!!! Staying on track. Last night’s cravings were hard but I powered through by sipping water. It was worth it!
    June 24th - Day 50: 196.4 Powered thru those cravings yet again. Disappointed in no change on the scale. Calories were low (1392). Carbs were low (11). I burned 3279 Calories. 20,180 steps & 8.54 miles walked yesterday. Ah well, the scale will catch up!
    Day 51: 196.6 A normal fluctuation. I had a great day yesterday & stayed on plan.
    Day 52: 196.6 Stalling……
    Day 53: 196.4 Slow as molasses. Still up from my starting weight : /
    Day 54: 196.4 Like a hamster on a wheel. Working hard but getting nowhere!
    Day 55: 196.8 Tacos did me in on carbs.
    Day 56: 196.0 Yay me!

    June Loss: +1.2 Yikes!!!!


    July 01st - Day 57: 194.6
    Day 58: 193.6 I’ve been working on getting fat adapted again in my LCHF Journey. I think I’ve finally gotten there as my hunger is now minimal. I haven’t had travel in the past 10 days so that has really helped. It’s much easier to control my diet when I’m away from new & exciting restaurants out of town.
    Day 59: 193.6 Holding steady. Not enough water or shedding yesterday. Calories have been a bit low. I will increase everything today to keep the metabolism up. Staying between 1200 & 1400 Calories is the plan.
    Day 60: 193.8 A normal body fluctuation. I did well yesterday but was a little low on calories again. Happy 4th of July to all of us in the USA.
    Day 61: 195.8 What a difference a day makes! I obviously enjoyed my 4th of July holiday. Back on track today & feeling strong. The plan is lots of water & movement & sticking to my food plan.
    Day 62: 195.2 Working on the holiday indulgences.
    Day 63: 194.8 I had an extreme low cal/low carb day yesterday with lots of movement to offset the holiday BBQ & leftovers. Scale is trending back down.
    July 08th - Day 64: 195.9 Bad food day yesterday but phenomenal activity & calorie burn. Hopefully this is water weight.
    Day 65: Travel Day 195.7
    Day 66: After Travel Weigh-In 196.9 And this is what travel looks like on Donna.
    Day 67: 196.7 a bit down. Now to keep up the trend!
    Day 68: 196.0 Keeping up my momentum but activity level dropped. Working on that today.
    Day 69: 194.8 I still need more activity & water but I’m grateful for the whoosh!
    Day 70: 198.0 I smelled my son’s pizza last night & blew it! But 3.2 pounds? That’s ridiculous! Back at it today.
    July 15th - Day 71: 195.8 Okay, love the improvement over yesterday! My lowest weight on this particular challenge was 193.6 on days 58, 59 & 60. Look out 193.6, I’m coming back for you. You’re my next short term goal!
    Day 72: 194.2 Yes I Can!!!! I can do this! Finally back below where I started on this challenge!
    Day 73: 194.4 Normal Fluctuation with a bit of potty trouble. A good day yesterday. I anticipate another good day on plan today. Meals are already planned!
    Day 74: 194.2 Staying on track. A nice walk yesterday evening with a new friend/neighbor.
    Day 75: 194.6 My fault. One small temptation, otherwise a great day!
    Day 76: 194.6 Hanging in there. A great day yesterday but no major exercise due to extreme heat.
    Day 77: 195.4 Yuck! Now, off to DGS’s birthday which will be celebrated with a huge lakeside BBQ & lots of food. Pray for me!
    July 22nd - Day 78: 198.2 After party weigh-in. Lots of sodium & too many calories. I’ve got work to do!
    Day 79: 196.8 Shed water all night which released some bloat from the sodium & party. Travel-sitting & restaurant tomorrow. Strength needed.
    Day 80: Travel Day. 196.2 Hoping not to blow it today & keep the scale at bay.
    Day 81: After Travel Weigh-In. 197.9 More travel for the next few days until Sunday. I will not be able to weigh in on Saturday or Sunday morning.
    Day 82: Travel begins today.
    Day 83: No scale/No weigh
    Day 84: No scale/No weigh
    Day 85: After vacation return no weigh-in
    Day 86: 199.7 Traveling does not look good on me.
    Day 87: 199.7 Traveling again today.

    July Loss:0 Gain 5.1 pounds immediately during much travel.


    Aug. 01st - Day 88: 202.0 The Lion King was fantastic. The buffet a bit too much. All in all, great travels with son & grandson to that far away movie theater & town we love to visit!
    Day 89: 198.2 Whoosh! There goes some of the water weight from travel & restaurants!
    Day 90: 198.2 Dinner out with son last night. No weight change which is actually good!
    Day 91: 198.8 From dinner out two days ago. Yesterday was a fantastic day all around!
    Day 92: 198.8 Holding steady but the biscuits & gravy gifted to me doesn’t help.
    Day 93: 199.0
    Day 94: 196.0 Finally! Great day of good diet & extra movement yesterday.
    Aug. 08th - Day 95: I hope there will be another 100 day challenge starting on Aug 14. I would love to do the entire thing!
    Day 96: 195.8 Staying mainly on track. Its working!
    Day 97: 196.2 Fluid retention. Burned 3710 Calories yesterday (ate 1554). Almost 11 miles walked. Almost 26,000 Total Steps. A great day of multiple exercises. Carefully planned Mexican food but water retention from the sodium & the exercising.
    Day 98: 197.0 Fluid retention must be continuing. I had a pretty good day yesterday & also a great NSV showing greater restraint in a restaurant (usually tough for me). I’ll trust the process. I look forward to the next 100 day challenge!

    19-May D14 251.4; surprised & thrilled considering I had a binge on Friday night. BUT, I did increase my exercise this week; so it must have offset it. I journaled about my binge to learn triggers and make strategies.

    21-May D16 250.8; Woooohoooo! Two days of not-so-healthy food, but was able to eat in moderation. And recently increased exercised and splitting it up into 3x/day.
    22-May D17 250.0; ~1200 calories and exercise 3x/day (total of 50mins)
    23-May D18 249.4; ~1400 calories and exercise 3x/day (total of 40+mins)
    24-May D19 251.4; binged last night. Dang! Why can't I control myself and remember that it affects the scale drastically!?

    26-May D21 250.4; ~1005 calories, 85min exercise, and 15C water. I need to stop playing mind games and just be consistent.
    27-May D22 251.4; ate as planned & tracked, but then after dinner... :( binged. Grrrrr. I must have exercised enough to make it only be a 1# gain. Now I just need to exercise that much 65mins Sat. & 75mins Sun. to make it a loss!!!
    28-May D23 252.6; another binge night. I have to stop feeling sorry for myself. I have had a few days of hating to track, not wanting to exercise, and the "doom" of doing this forever. BUT! What I have to remind myself (easier in the morning than at night) is that I am making this choice because I want my body to be lighter. My knees and joints need me to be lighter so that I'll be in less pain. So I need to get my mind right at night, too! Thanks for listening.

    It's amazing how fast the weight comes on when I have a night binge!! I have been so good this week and thought the scale would jump just a little more. But that's why we are doing this, right!? To learn more about how food affects our body & our weight. And to learn that it's okay that we don't lose 5# in one day! LOL Even though we might gain it in one day. It's progress! Training the mind to NOT be ruled by the scale is going to be a good exercise from these 100 days. Progress!

    Regardless that I'm not reaching my GW for this challenge. Had I done this, I probably wouldn't have pushed myself to lose. Not sure what I learned from weighing daily, other than being more aware on a daily basis than weekly. And perhaps it helped me stay focused on the overall goal of health vs. just weighing on Sundays.

    I plan to continue this for another 100 days. That will take me to mid-November. And this time I plan to work a little harder every day. To be more mindful and aware of what goes into my body and what I do with it.

    Day 73: 194.4 Normal Fluctuation with a bit of potty trouble. A good day yesterday. I anticipate another good day on plan today. Meals are already planned!

    Day 90: 198.2 Dinner out with son last night. No weight change which is actually good!
    Day 91: 198.8 From dinner out two days ago. Yesterday was a fantastic day all around!
    Day 92: 198.8 Holding steady but the biscuits & gravy gifted to me doesn’t help.

    Day 94: 196.0 Finally! Great day of good diet & extra movement yesterday.
    Aug. 08th - Day 95: I hope there will be another 100 day challenge starting on Aug 14. I would love to do the entire thing!
    Day 96: 195.8 Staying mainly on track. Its working!
    Day 97: 196.2 Fluid retention. Burned 3710 Calories yesterday (ate 1554). Almost 11 miles walked. Almost 26,000 Total Steps. A great day of multiple exercises. Carefully planned Mexican food but water retention from the sodium & the exercising.
    Day 98: 197.0 Fluid retention must be continuing. I had a pretty good day yesterday & also a great NSV showing greater restraint in a restaurant (usually tough for me). I’ll trust the process. I look forward to the next 100 day challenge!

    Aug. 13th - Day 100: 199.8 after a horrible late night binge. I hate to end this way when I know much of it is water retention from the salty foods.

    Aug Loss: 2.2 lbs.

    Total Loss for the Challenge: 5 lb gain with nearly 3 of it last night


    Final Challenge Thoughts: . I didn’t get to do the whole 100 days due to late starting, but I look forward to trying this again for the whole 100 days. I hope a new 100 day challenge will be posted starting tomorrow!

    Hi, love your thread.

    Here's some pics from the app I've been logging daily in since April 2015. It's an app called Happy Scale.

    See all the days it looked like it was "going up"?

    The line on the picture shows the moving average. This is what we often don't see that means we get discouraged.

    Lots of threads in the general section about weight loss never being "linear".


    This is my weight in the past month. I bet you think this would be scary:

    It looks like I was gaining tons.

    Instead, this is what taking NSAIDs (anti-inflammatory tablets such as Meloxicam and Diclofenac) for a sore neck/shoulder does every time.

    When I take them, about a day later my weight jumps at least 1 kg. This month I took them for 2 weeks, so it was up long enough to bork my moving average. That was annoying!! :smiley:

    Plus I had my normal pre-menstruation "gain" due to hormones. That also happens every cycle, and I get a "whoosh" when it's over.


    And this is my weight since April 2015:

    Note: It took me a few months to go from "weight loss mode" to "maintenance mode", and I kept losing and got too low. I also gained a little from lots of exercise and muscle strength gains, and became very fit (have run 2 marathons and a 50 km run and lots more).

    Also note, my "gain" this month from the 2 weeks on NSAIDs effect has affected my moving average, so it looks like a recent rise.

    But my moving average has gone down nearly 1.8 kg in the past 2 weeks now my weight has been close to the middle of my goal range, and it will settle down again. Seen all this, know the drill.

    Hope this all helps people new and old to logging and weighing.

    Please note, I log everything I eat, and have my exercise synced to MFP from my Garmin.

    I make sure my weekly net calories are always a bit under my goal, to account for typical underestimation when logging which I know I do, it's been studied and we all say we eat less than we do.

    I don't care about going over my kilojoule goal for the day because I always make sure my weekly energy intake is right by eating less another day.

    Day 6: 76.6 - ow boy ... not going down despite my good efforts and staying under my cal goal I'll try to walk a bit more.
