7/11: - 154.1 - Shocking, actually. Boss worked me through lunch so barely ate all day. Then rushed to get my best friend from the airport and make it on post for a baseball game. Dinner wasn't eaten until about 930 pm and it was pizza (easy and quick). Really really shocked about not gaining after that. But I was super dehydrated. The concession stand was not open for the game and the youngest ran out of gatorade about 3/4 of the way through his game so I gave him my water. He needed it running around them bases like a madman (: Hopefully today is a LOT calmer.

7/2: - Stayed at boyfriend's last night. Tomorrow is likely the only day I'll have a chance to weigh in. I'm trying to reverse diet a little with healthier meals this week because I've been at a deficit for awhile and I'm starting to gain if I eat anything more than 1200 calories. Especially after the week of extreme deficit (<800cal/day) due to stress. Going to try to introduce veggie-based smoothies (with just a little fruit for flavor) and include more veggies in all my meals to help fill me up as well, especially since I don't really eat breakfast and when I do, its pretty much all carbs like the bad girl I am. I desperately need to go grocery shopping tonight since I'll actually have the time (no baseball game).
7/3: - A lot better than I thought with all the food I ate yesterday but I did drink almost 100oz of water. I'm prepared for today with 2 smoothies (made mostly of spinach and cucumber with a little frozen fruit and my protein mixed in for flavor) and a chicken caesar salad for lunch with a small grilled chicken breast filet for extra protein. Finally went shopping and feeling prepared! Now to keep myself in line tomorrow for the 4th of July since its one of my favorite holidays!

7/8: - Not bad for such a long time away and the entire time spent with my boyfriend eating and drinking. Figured I'd be so so so much higher. Dehydrated a bit but working on that (really need to get the weekend thing down, but I never know what's going on, I just get told to "get in the truck" and off we go!) So tired. Stayed up to watch men's soccer with some friends and didn't get to bed until almost midnight. Leftovers from boyfriend's amazing dinner for lunch today so at least I have something good (: Here's to trying to stay awake (and focused) at work.
7/9: - That's a drop I didn't expect. I got hungry the end of the day and figured that'd put me way over. I've successfully been upping my calories and it seems to have broken my plateau. Unfortunately my crazy schedule as of late has not been a friend. My best friend arrives tomorrow and I imagine that will not bode well for my healthy eating but I'm going to make her try to keep things in check since she's wanted to lose as well. Slightly dehydrated still. Gonna work on that.
7/10: - Last night I can stay with boyfriend until best friend leaves next Tuesday. Its only 6 days/nights but he has the kids this week and they are sad they won't be seeing me as much. I figured I'd spend a little bit extra time last night even though I'm EXHAUSTED and I hate waking up early (only 30 minutes earlier) and going to bed an hour and a half later. But I get so much better sleep there. Not sure if its because his bedroom is so cold (downstairs), the bed is so comfy, or if its his sleep habits (he'll reach over and put a hand on the top of my head or on my sternum/collarbone area protectively. And he's completely unaware he's doing it). Oh well. Best friend flies in this afternoon! Should be able to easily weigh in tomorrow but won't have the first 3 days of next round and Monday's weigh in isn't likely to be pretty knowing my best friend and I. Let's hope for the best. At least I know upping my calories has actually helped my plateau so I hope the damage isn't AS BAD as I think it will be.

@nikki062181 Here is to meeting my goal in this 10 days. I was 17lbs from my goal weight and have since gained 17 additional pounds. That puts me 34lbs over. I went from 232 to 142lbs. I cannot let this get away from me. I have worked hard to lose this weight, and I need to be responsible enough to keep it off. I'd like to at least lose those 17 lbs before I have to start teaching again on August 7th.

GOALS FOR THE WEEK!

First step: Continue to track calories
Second step: Continue to measure my portions
Third step: Continue to cut out carbonated beverages
Fourth step: Continue to cut out too many sweets
5th step: Push water!!!!
6th step: Take my B12 supplement daily at lunch because I have a deficiency
7th step: Walk 15 minutes a day at minimum and do arm exercises starting on Monday for this goal.
8th: 1 high carb, high calorie day each week

07/02 @ 9 a.m.: 152.6 I ate really well but did not drink enough. I did a lot of housework too.
07/03 @ 9 a.m.: 152.8 I ate really well, but started getting hungry late night. I snacked, which is something I normally do not do. It was healthy, but it was late. I am also struggling with my water intake right now. I did go swimming though.
07/04 @ 9: 153 I ate well and stayed within my calories. I drank about 40 oz of water, which is a lot more than I usually do, so I do not get why it is creeping up. 😡 Happy 4th! 🥳💥
07/05 @ 7: 153.2 Ugh. Another 2 oz again. Weighed 2 hours earlier than usual due to a company coming out to do home repairs. Ate unhealthy last night and ate late. It was a holiday, and a rough one at that. My best friend passed away July 3rd last year due to someone texting while driving.
07/06 @ 9 153 I ate well and went swimming today. I could work more on water still. I'm loving my breakfast smoothies. The pineapple and the blueberry one I've made so far are YUMMY! I ended up getting xrays yesterday. My son almost broke my nose. He was doing a backstroke in our pool, and he hit me on the bridge. My nose is messed up, but I'll survive.
07/07 @ 9 153 I spent the night at a drive in theater and has candy and popcorn. First time in a long time. I will regret this later.

I've moved almost the entire 5 sq yards of soil and I've started planting my new flower beds. I decided a few weeks ago to give myself a "creative sabbatical" to get my yard in shape -- I'm a writer, but intentionally not writing this summer -- and it's clearing my mind and strengthening my body and spirit. Sometimes we have to feed the inner self as well as the outer. I'm also trying to let go of specific weight goals for now -- I'm healthy, my clothes fit, and as long as I hold or lose a little, I'm fine with that. But you guys help keep me mindful and mostly on track (since most people don't want to hear about nutrition & weight all the time!). Thanks!

7/3 124.5 I only ate about half of the small salad I made for lunch yesterday. Just not hungry. Made myself eat a Flying Dutchman for dinner. Next time I won’t add onion because Carl gives me most of his! Today doctor and stock car races!
7/4 124.5 Met daughter and 4 grandkids for lunch at Cici’s but I wasn’t hungry so had the steak salad I had made for lunch yesterday after doctor appointment. Ate a hot dog at the races last night- no bun. The doctor said my labs are excellent but we are changing my BP med.The races were great last night! Wonderful fireworks there. Today a BBQ at friends only a block away.

Not sure what that will do to the scale tomorrow but it was the “last hurrah” as we are Keto shopping today and I will be cooking for the next several weeks as she recovers from surgery.

Even turned down a late night glass of Rose that my husband had already poured me. I'm guessing the wedding cake caught up with me... not sure.. hoping some of it is water. Was really disappointed this morning but moving forward. I prepped meals for the whole week (breakfast and lunch at work).
7/9: 199.2 (-1.2) well how about that... had a good day yesterday, stayed on track, cravings hit hard at night but I stayed focused. Felt some fatigue/headache which I attribute to less carbs. Likely not making my goal for this round but not stressing it!
7/10: 198.4 (-0.8) 60 oz of water yesterday - getting there. Stayed within calories. Feeling good about the progress. The next 3 weeks my family visiting from Switzerland and both of them (brother and SIL) are on keto diet so hopefully that will be additional help i.e. not too much vacation splurging.

Goal for round 82 - being realistic, hoping to finish where I start. Traveling for part of this round so I'm making attainable goals. I won't be able to weigh or track well while gone so I'm going to make smart choices while not denying myself (portion control, movement every day, lots of water), and then resume tracking when I return.

7/2 - 139.3. Holding steady. Wins yesterday: 4 mile run (so humid outside!), 2.5 mile walk. Hydrated well. Slept well. Went over my calorie goal for the day but I didn't go in to a surplus due to my activity level.

7/3 -139.1. Lowest weight since I started tracking in March! Just in time go on vacation and undo that work 🤣. (Kidding I’m going to do the things I said on my goals above and hopefully not go too far off the rails). Wins yesterday: HIIT class, 2.75 mile walk, hydrated well, stayed in a deficit, slept well.

7/4 - traveling no scale. Wins yesterday: short weight circuit and elliptical finisher. 2 mile walk. Productive at work before my long weekend. However, I did indulge too much at dinner once we got to the lake house. Staying aware and mindful during vacation is going to be hard.

7/5 - traveling no scale. How I did on my vacation plan: movement - 5 mile run, short walk, swimming in the lake. Portion control - not the best, it’s so hard when everyone around you is pushing food on you and they have dessert with lunch and dinner! Water - didn’t drink as much as I should have in this heat and humidity. Will work on hydration more today.

7/6 - traveling no scale. How I did on my vacation plan: movement - 3.2 mile walk, stand up paddleboarding, some swimming in the lake. Hydration - pretty well, could always be better. Portion control - ok except for desserts! Had way too much cake.

It sounds so silly that vacation causes stress and anxiety but it does when you’re in a house full of family for 4 days. And my daughter had an anxiety attack over something. So I fell apart. Back to real life today and will grocery shop, meal plan for the week, and work on the mental side to move past the binge.

7/8 - 142.2. WHOA. First day back and that's a shock. It shouldn't be as I binged this weekend. I really hope I didn't gain 3 lbs of actual weight in that short of time. I'm hoping some is bloat and I can drop at least part of this quickly now that I'm back home and in my normal routine. I did make it to a bodycombat class yesterday when I got home and did the grocery shopping for the week so my fridge and pantry are well stocked with better choices.

7/9 - 140.2. 2 lbs of bloat gone, this seems more like a reasonable vacation gain thankfully. Wins yesterday: 4 mile run, 3 mile walk, hydrated well, stayed in a deficit. Had a little ice cream but a normal portion so didn’t overdo it.

7/10 - 140.2. Wins yesterday: HIIT class and 2.5 mile walk. Hydrated well. Think I was even with my calories, not a deficit which is all on me but not a surplus either.

7/11 - 141.3. Had a small procedure done yesterday and I'm retaining fluid big time. I can see it in my face and hands. Not a good representation of normal life this 10 day stretch so I honestly can't call this round a success or failure. Ending with swelling due to medical reasons kind of negates everything else . Good news is that I have no travel, a normal work schedule, and no reasons to deviate from tracking or working out in the next 10 days (starting again this weekend when the swelling goes down...)

Last full round before my almost 3 week cruise/land vacation, so I would like to just make sure that I stay focused this round so that I continue focused on healthy eating while I am on my vacation.

7/2: 207.0 Got 87g of protein in yesterday. I could have gotten more if I had changed out one of my snacks to something more protein dense. Trainer tonight.
7/3: 206.7...104g of protein. With the increase in protein I notice that I don't snack as much in the evening as I usually do and also know that I need to increase my water intake so I am also drinking more water. I will be working late tonight, but I still want to make sure I still go out for a run later today.
7/4: 206.1...95g of protein. I had preplanned to get in more protein during my evening snack, but I felt full and didn't want to eat anymore. However, later in the evening I still ended up doing some evening snacking but it wasn't my preplanned protein snack and it was just eating for eatings sake. I need to work on that. Didn't go for a run yesterday, but going to the trainer this morning.
7/5: 206.5...69g of protein. It's funny because I thought I was eating a lot more protein. Also didn't get much water in. Had a great workout with my trainer. I realized that without a race goal I don't have as much motivation to go out and run. I also realized that I was a little depressed that since I had my injury I would now have to start back slowly and all I want to do is jump back to the amount of running I was doing before I got injured, but I know that's not smart. So yesterday I got my big girl pants on and signed up for a 5k in August and I'm going to start up slowly running tonight. The race goal will also help me to stay focused with exercising while I'm on vacation.
7/6: 206.5...66g of protein. I didn't run last night because I worked late, but I went out this morning and ran 1.75 miles the longest run in the 6 weeks since my injury...it felt great. I'm going to work on my protein and water today.
7/7:205.4..66g of protein. I didn't realize how much of a struggle it would be for me to get my protein in. This is the lowest weight I've been in about 4 years but more importantly my body has changed so much with weight training that yesterday when I tried on a pair of jeans that I couldn' fit into when I weighed this same weight 4 years ago I can now fit into them. Trainer today.
7/8: 205.4..76g of protein. Did some snacking yesterday, I think I was stressed. Trainer tonight and then chiro adjustment. Going to relax for the rest of the evening.
7/9: 205.4...71g of protein. Very tough workout yesterday so I won't be surprised if I see a jump on the scale tomorrow. I need to do laundry and do some cleaning tonight for my flight on Thursday. PT tonight.
7/10: 205.9...78g of protein. Just trying to finish up the work at my job before I go on vacation. I also have to clean, finish packing, and drop the dog off at the doggie sitter after work. I also plan on going for a run tonight and even though I have a lot of things to do it's more important that I get my exercise in.
7/11: 206.5...62g of protein. I was so busy finishing up my work and getting things ready for my vacation that I hardly drank any water. I didn't go running but only because it was pouring rain and not because I didn't want to go. I'm going to see my trainier this morning before my flight. I will miss the next round and will come in near the end of the following round.

07/03 314.8 I’m not surprised by a pound loss, I wasn’t feeling well yesterday and had trouble finding food I wanted to eat. I finally felt like eating midday when I had a snack to hold me off until dinner where I had a favorite comfort meal that I haven’t made in awhile. I weighed it all out though and despite it being a favorite I stayed within my calorie goal. My nsv yesterday was not eating junk or overeating just because I wasn’t feeling well.

07/04 314.6 I’m so happy that I didn’t bounce up a little. I wasn’t great with water yesterday and I took a longer morning walk because the temperature was so much cooler. I also take a rest day on Wednesdays, which I didn’t take yesterday because of the nicer weather.

07/05 314.8 I’m okay with this. I was under calories, but higher on carbs than I’ve been recently. I also need to get better with my water. My nsv was staying on track yesterday.

07/06 314.6 I think I’m holding onto water before tom arrives. This happened last month and I held steady (outside my binge gain) until tom arrived. This time though I will not have a binge and will be patient. Hopefully tom won’t be ten days late this month.

07/07 314.8 I did my strength training yesterday and it went well, I pushed a little harder this time so I’m glad I’m not up.

07/08 313.4 I’m really happy with this loss and my overall progress. Last night I went out with my husband for a dog walk and we planned to turn around at the next street, about a 600 total step walk. A few minutes after we passed that point I realized that we had passed it and our walk ended up being about 1600 steps instead. I was amused that I just didn’t notice, it was really nice.

07/09 313.4 Now starts the tom wait. I’m hopeful that the hip pain I have today is an indication that it will arrive soon as they usually go hand in hand. Due to the heat here and the hip pain I’m going to focus on doing upper body strength training today. My nsv yesterday was hitting 9k steps.

07/10 313.4 Thankfully tom started this morning and I should start having regular drops again soon. I got in an okay amount of steps yesterday and my upper body workout. Today is a rest day both due to my hip and the extreme heat.

07/11 312.0 What a great place to end a round. I have now lost a total of 70 pounds since starting this journey. I enjoyed an easier day yesterday and took a walk in the rain that brought much cooler temperatures.

07/02 143.8 starting the round the same as the end of the round, which is a better than last round. Going to a barre class today. I find them kind of boring, but muscles burn so I think it works and instructor is really good at adjusting.
07/03 143.7 took a barre class yesterday and really enjoyed it (still boring but feels great to stretch and I can do most of the moves) so will be adding that 3 times a week (more strength based than my usual workout)
07/04 143.7 my parents are leaving for a month on Friday on vacation so went to a very nice restaurant with them (prix fix) so did go over calories, but it was a once in a lifetime type of experience so is worth a slight stall in weight. Today I’m going to a barre class and eating light before going to a buffet dinner with family with a fireworks watching area. Hope everyone has a great celebration today!!
07/05 143.7, apparently my body really likes this number! I’ll take it though since I did have a full burger with ketchup and mustard last night and a few different salad options. I also had two gin and sodas, so stayed within calorie range if added all exercise back in. Today, I’m going to try hot yoga for the first time. The same instructor who taught barre yesterday is subbing for that class and she was really good at modifications. I’m not as sore as I thought I would be after barre . With elliptical I usually never take a break, but will take one on Sunday since I’m worried with all of the muscle classes I might overdo it and be out for longer than I want.
07/06 143.6, going to do a morning workout, catch a movie, run some errands and home in the afternoon to do some house cleaning.
07/07 143.4, yesterday’s class was the hardest I’ve ever taken and honestly was so painful after (no modifications and didn’t stretch enough) that I don’t think I’ll do that ever (or at least until I’m closer to my goal). I planned to take today off so will keep eating in check. Happy to be on the other side of 143 going into this week, which is my TOM
07/08 143.3, should be a typical Monday. I’m going to my tennis group lesson, but still very sore so this should be interesting. Thankfully, it’s a beginning class so hopefully I won’t have to run too much.
07/09 143.2, still sore from Saturday, but feeling better so will go to gym and do an elliptical workout. I’ve been watching the reboot of Dynasty on Netflix on the machine so hope to be done with the season by the end of the month. A good way to get me to the gym if I only watch a particular show there! I was watching Episodes but it has adult content and I get self conscious watching something risqué at a YMCA!

I will be back for another round. It will be 1 year on mfp on 7/7 and I honestly thought I would have been at my ultimate goal weight by now. Unfortunately I am not and I still have about 7-8 pounds to go. I have lost 33 pounds though and am very happy with that. I have revised my goal weight a couple of times, but am firm at 138 (at least for right now,lol) I am doing 14 days with no alcohol to see if this is what is slowing my progress down. I am also recovering from a pretty bad infection and still on antibiotics from a stupid spider bite. So maybe I will have a really big whoosh this round! Maybe, fingers crossed!

7/02: 145.9 back down to Sundays weight. Good day yesterday with calories and water. Still no alcohol and still no major changes in weight loss. 6 more days to go. We will see what happens. 2 more pounds and I will be "normal" BMI.
7/03: 145.9 still here. We did eat Sonic last night for dinner, but I did not eat the bun and only half my tater tots, so I stayed within my calories. I had also only eaten about 400 calories during the day because I knew we would probably grab something on the go last night. Still no alcohol and plenty of water, so on track for this week so far.
7/04: 145.9 this has been my weight 4 days out of the last 5. Still no alcohol and at a deficit. Going hiking this am with my hubby and hopefully will see a drop tomorrow.
7/05: 146.7 ate at maintenance yesterday so I guess that means a spike up today. Woke up super thirsty with really dry lips, so maybe not enough water yesterday. 11 days no alcohol and not any changes in weight. I’m about to throw in the towel on this no alcohol for 2 weeks thing. I really thought I would have seen at least a pound or maybe 2 pound loss to kick me into overdrive, but I have lost 4/10 of a pound in 2 weeks with a large deficit. I’m sticking with it today still, we will see how I feel tomorrow.
7/06: 146.4 still up a bit, but ate at maintenance again yesterday. Oh well, we went to the movies and I stayed away from the popcorn and beer. I took a small bag of peanuts that I snacked on and had water. The new Spider Man was really good though. We are having a bbq tonight and getting the UFC fights. We have 3 people from NM fighting so it’s going to be a big one for us. We will see how I do tonight!
7/07: 148.1 gave in last night and had some beers during the fights. So totally expected this to be up. I did 12 days without alcohol and it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference in my weight loss rate. I’ve pretty much lost about 1/2 pound a week consistently. My trend is the lowest it’s ever been, so I’m looking at the wins. I should be back down tomorrow or the next day. Lots of water and flushing the liquor out of my system scheduled for today and back to work tomorrow.
7/08: 148.9 did well yesterday, but was really hung over most it, so not a lot of activity. Note to self: when I am so strict for to long I tend to overindulge. Am on track for today and will be back down tomorrow. Almost caught up with every bodies post, but still a couple more pages to go. The holidays throw me off track and I can't stay current, but it seems like everybody made it through the holidays without to much damage. 3 more days to get back down to 145.9, hopefully a little lower at least. Not terrible for a 4 day weekend though, I have had and done worse.
7/09: 147.6 down a bit from the weekend, but still have 1.7 lbs to go to get back to my start weight. Would like to see a new low this round, but we only have 2 days left so that may not happen. Stayed way under calories yesterday and drank a ton of water. On track for today so far and we will see what happens tomorrow.
7/10: 147.6 I think my sodium was a little to high with dinner last night, but I was under calories. I also had a drink with the hubby while cooking. Other than that on track for today and have dinner planned for tonight. Hoping to at least finish where I ended the last round or where I started this one, but that may be wishful thinking, lol.

7/11: 146.3 down 2/10 of a pound from where I ended the last round and down almost an entire pound for my 10 day average. I didn't get to see a new low, but didn't totally destroy myself on my 4 day weekend either. The next 10 days I have absolutely nothing going on to derail me. Still looking to get under 145, so we will see what happens.
