69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... :D...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

Had back surgery June 18th. Just getting back into walking and controlling what goes in my mouth.

    September Loss - ??

Thoughts: Dang Darlington. I'll blame today's bobble on NASCAR. The race was supposed to start at 4 and was rain delayed to 10pm, ending at 2am. I ate way after my 8pm cutoff so showed a gain this morning. I'm all out of whack today and will have to force the exercise.

I'm still working on some modifications to my game plan, but here's what I'm thinking. The no calorie intake after 8pm has been very effective for me. As a late night snacker, it was also a difficult habit to change. The past couple of months, I've been moving morning intake later and later. That's fairly easy because I'm not a breakfast eater by nature. I'm generally up 6-6:30. Coffee immediately. Light breakfast 8-8:30. I've moved that breakfast up to 10am. That's roughly a 14:10 pattern. It would not be hard to get to 16:8

I worry about it being tough with my sweetened coffee habit. I am NOT giving up my sweet cream. Period. But I've been forcing a bottle of water before coffee. I hate to admit it, but the water "humanizes" me almost as much as the coffee does. I may have been over-thinking this, so I'm going to start edging towards noon for initial calorie intake. If I have issues with the hot coffee, I will start playing around with hot herbal teas.

I'm having an awful time with active minutes and exercise goals. I'm going to back the minutes off to 20/day and shoot for consistency. For my strength training, I'm going to modify that as well. I'm not really in a habit building routine. So the new goal is to get in 3 days of training followed by 1 day of rest.

September Game Plan & Goals: (Use stats from Fitbit 7 Day Summary)
    • Move to 2-week meal plans 👀
    • Log meals & exercise daily in MFP
    • Focus on daily 500 calorie deficit goal.
    • No calorie intake after 8pm.
    • No calorie intake before 10am, edging towards noon.
    • Hit Fitbit step goal of 5000
    • Hit active minutes goal of 20 minutes daily
    • Hit strength training goal of 3 days on & 1 rest day
