This app is amazing at keeping me mindful of what I actually eat. I went the last 9 months eating so much crap. Hoping to turn things around. Ideally would like to lose 25 lbs. Anyone dropped weight this fast?

Yes, a few. Probably most started at over 300 lbs.1

Losing more than 3 pounds a week, for someone at 205?
Sure, that's possible . . . but not if you want reasonable odds of staying healthy and strong at the same time. (And you're likely to be miserable, just for extra birthday fun.)
To lose 3 pounds a week, you need to eat 1500 calories fewer every day than you spend. At your size, with a normal but sedentary life, you might burn 2200-2400 or so calories daily.
So, you either need to eat 700-900 calories per day, or add so much exercise to your day every day that it gets you to the equivalent of that intake.
Do you see why that would be a poor plan?
Set yourself up on MFP to lose a pound a week. Exercise (especially strength exercise) enough to be fitter, have fun, and keep as much of your existing muscle as possible while losing fat. Eat back a reasonable estimate of your exercise calories.
A good way to celebrate turning 35 would be to do something sensible and disciplined, healthful and likely to succeed.
BTW: "Cleanses" usually involve many restrictions, and magical thinking about how bodies work. Extra-bad plan!
Your call, though.7 -

What happens after a short term loss like you're planning is an immediate weight gain.
Slow weight loss is sustainable weight loss.2 -

I did. I lost more than that actually. The secret is to gain substantially more weight before you begin. You might have different results gaining all that weight but I didn't care for it.
What a cleanse really does is help you lose a bunch of water weight. This is weight that will return so there is no point in temporarily losing it.
To be brutally honest your plan sounds like the makings of a way to have more weight to lose next year when you turn 36. Unless you are in an immediate weight related health crisis just take the time you need to do this right.6 -
What do you mean by cleanse? Just eating more whole foods and fewer other things? The title confused me a little.
Good luck, I don't do well with skipping meals.
Not even at all.1
