Kind of a fun thing - I ran out of silver star stickers to put on my Map to Genkijima! I use silver stickers, one for each pound, and I mark the 5s and 10s with different colors like gold or blue. It's just cool that I used up all the silver stars in a whole package! Makes me smile.
I weighed in this morning at 145.9. If you'll believe my scale I have 25.9 % body fat and 32.8% muscle. I understand that may be off but even if it's off by several percentage points that's still pretty good. In just 1 more pound I'll have lost a total of 100 pounds!
Now I'm going to try hard not to worry about that too much because the minute I try extra hard to lose weight I gain some. LOL19 -

Sand_TIger wrote: »Progress photo which Hiroshi decided to get into - hey, at least I cleaned off my mirror! 147 pounds this morning and if my scale can be believed, I'm about 26% body fat and over 32% muscle. Still want to get rid of the floppy belly but it's shrinking and not so obvious under clothes. These are the size S shorts and shirt, too.
Oooh girl, look at those legs!
Amazing to see how far you have come7 -
I've finally hit the big 100! I've lost 100.2 pounds since January 6, 2020. It's a good feeling.
If my scale is to be believed, and I do take it with a grain of salt, my fat percentage is down to 25.1 and my muscle is up to 33.1. So technically, if those numbers are true, I'm .1 away from a body fat percentage in the healthy range.
I still have a floppy belly to get rid of, LOL. I'll count myself done when that's mostly loose skin without fat inside.22 -
Hello SandTiger, I just started on My fitness Pal this morning. I am starting at 240 lbs. I can’t believe I weigh this. I’m also 68 years old! but that’s not going to stop me from moving forward. Your progress has inspired me. I hope I can reach my goal also. Thank you for your determination to succeed, it inspires other people to try. Did you think in the beginning that you would get where you are today?
Well, here I go………. Minnesota758 -

Hi there! You're welcome! I don't think I'd be where I am if it weren't for all the inspiring stories on MFP. They proved to me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that anyone can lose weight given enough time and persistence. I didn't think I'd make it this for. I'm not quite to goal but really, really close!

Congratulations on losing a 100.2 lbs!
That is awesome. Are you sticking to your goal weight or re-evaluating it or shifting to more fitness related goals instead? Do you have a special reward or event in mind to celebrate your achievement? Have you noticed what motivates you changes as the weight and life has changed?2 -

Great questions! Yeah, my goal weight has evolved to somewhere around 130 pounds rather than 140, but honestly at this point I'll quit when I've lost most of my belly, and am under 140. So I'd like my body fat percentage to be around 20 percent ideally.
I am probably going to get a tattoo at some point to commemorate this, though I have to buy a bunch of new work clothes first, LOL. Part of my motivation now comes from wanting to maintain this level of energy and capability, and never, ever wanting to go back to how I was. I need to be careful to make sure I never forget how awful it felt to be so big, as being healthy becomes my new normal.7 -

Thank you so much for saying so! I intend to keep on going till I hit goal. I'll keep sharing too if I think I have found anything worth sharing. All the best to you in your own journey!4 -
@Sand_TIger absolutely amazing progress! You started this thread in January of 2020...right before the pandemic! Bravo! 👏(standing ovation).1

Thanks, GigiAgape! I don't think I would have done so well if it weren't for being able to work from home, away from all the potlucks and snacks at the office. I feel grateful that I've had such a long time to build better habits.4

True enough, BMR/TDEE calculators and fitness trackers just give us a starting point and our actual results will determine if it was a correct starting point or perhaps we need to adjust. Consistency is a great thing when losing weight, but also flexibility: adapting our strategy based on what works and doesn't work for us!3
