I just like how I feel, and how my body takes care of wounds, scars, blemishes, and my lichen sclerosis.

I found that if I cut way back on wheat products, I have much better skin. When I say "cut back," I mean less than a small slice of bread or slider bun per day. I had slacked off when sheltering in place started and within 2 days of stopping, my skin was amazingly clearer.

I eat maybe 3 days worth of primarily protein, and some days primarily veggies. One or two days of carbs now and then. I follow my urges.👍

Machka-the trellis idea sounds good. I you google ball cap storage on Amazon, they also have several options.

KJ-good job on the spare room. Years ago my brother said something was in the “Pilot room” in his house (that’s how I heard it and thought it had something to do with hot water tank or something.) He actually meant the “Pile It room”-the room in which you just pile stuff! Those start so innocently but can take on a life of their own!

Heather-Fridge looks good. The wobbling might be from an older floor.

Julie-glad you had some nice conversations. Just checked out Salomons--look to be similar in nature and function. I find all shoes fit a bit differently and what used to work can change. Comfortable shoes are worth the price.

    Faye-I am also a scorpio.

DIL had hysterectomy today and is home. They sent her with nerve block pump that my son will remove. Never heard of one for that, but the keep changing things out.

Youngest son (who lives in Columbus) texted that his lady friend may have Covid. She went into work a couple of days last week and received notice that co-worker who was in tested positive. Last night she started feeling bad-sore throat and cough. She got tested today. Jake is to stay home from work (according to his doctor) until her test results are back. If negative, he can go right back. If she is positive, he stays quarantined for 14 days. If he starts feeling bad he needs tested. He said this morning he thought he was feeling bad today because of allergies. As the day has gone on he has gotten achy and chills. Hopefully we have a better idea tomorrow. I haven't been around them for a couple of weeks.

Off to do some quick pick up before bed. May watch a bit of the game. Fans or lack of don't bother me-I just like the game.

    Take care all,

Machka - I prefer working out in the evening too. I can’t handle much in the morning.

Annie - I hope the third date is as exciting as the first two.

Julie - we had a sectional couch for that very reason. I wish we had room for one again.

Heather - what a beautiful fridge. I cracked up at the sound leaflet as well.

Katla - I watched Dancing With the Stars and they had a canned audience as well. I found it a little off, but had to chuckle when they had the audience boo on a poor score given by the judges.

Allie - you sound happier this weekend than you have for a long time. I am so happy for you to get this little reprieve.

Vicki - how disgusting that your granddaughter was subjected to that. If these hackers and spammers just used their brains for good the world may be much better.

Faye - I am a Virgo. I have never paid a lot of attention to what the signs mean but I do know that my “things in their place” tendency can be related to my sign. I always just though it was because my Mom was such a clutterbug it was my way to try to find calm.

Yvonne - will the States actually charge for a vaccine if they get one made? I’m sure here it will be free.
I’m right there with you about lack of exercise and missing my oomph. I do well for a few days and sink right back again.

Ginny - I love the pile it room. That’s what my craft room becomes quite regularly.
I hope you DIL heals fast and that your son and his friend are negative and get better soon.

Pip - Yogi looks like he is enjoying his adventures.

It was a day at work, so many rules regarding payroll and why someone is off how they are paid. It makes my job so much easier when people just share information! I find it hilarious how many have cramps and back pain now instead of all the colds they had previously. They know if they lost any cold symptoms they will need to go have a test.

I think it’s time for my bath and then I may start my puzzle I bought a couple weeks ago.

I found a great line for you fasters. Credited to Rumi, the Sufi poet: “There’s a hidden sweetness in the stomach’s emptiness.”

"Get to do"s and "chose well"s
    Chose well: vacuumed AGAIN.
    Bonus: three loads laundry
Get to do: Library, BiMart, Post Office, Grocery Outlet, Freddie’s, take pics of car, test Bluetooth speaker so can do BB&B or T’ai Chi from voice recordings, Pilot tech support 5034447924 to link subscription and fix login, measure potential greenhouse space and distance to outlet, make experimental almond paste, declutter sideboard, practice new dances (Nothing but You, Shake it like that, Larger than Life, Here I Go Again/Mama Mia, Real Deal, Get it Right); make garlic almonds for Barb and Dan; prep potato area and raised beds for beets, carrots, parsley root, parsnips, radishes and sow; weed drive again, finish weeding flower bed, mulch flowerbed; invest another 10 minutes in prepping living trust, Freddie’s for complete series TDAP <$48, get Shingrix vaccine. Reward: inventory seeds, plan fall cool season garden, order replenishments, figure out where to plant naked lady bulbs, Tuesday: call Progressive adjuster,
    Self Care September
20: No Plans Day, that was today, Monday. How did I get behind?
21: Remind yourself that you are loved and worthy of love: even when I mess up.

Lanette  the profile pic. Is that your dog in ppe?
Tracey alas, not wise. 2020 hindsight ;} and yes it is hilarious how the sicknesses have shifted ;)
Katla our county has had no deaths and fewer than 30 cases. Likewise we’ve been spared wildfires here, the year. Unfortunately for many here on the coast, our healthcare specialists are in Medford and the highway was closed for almost a week due to the Slater Fire. When you see the absolute devastation of entire neighborhoods, reminiscent of the Paradise fire, it makes me very grateful for our snug little outdated, granny decorated, hand-me-down-furnished mobile home. Can’t see anything out of line in your post, gratitude is never out of bounds.
Machka what you said about your and your husbands differing organizational styles reminded me of this: Think your trellis with clothes pins idea is brilliant. Good job!
Barbie your “don’t take things personally” comes to mind often (like yesterday… but just a few moments too late.) Another of yours “be more agreeable” has helped be to be less contrary, my default/fallback position ;} Thank you!
Linda your cabin sounds ideal. Is that where you picked the blueberries? When you’re typing in your reply and you get to where you want to put a picture, click the triangle to the right of the little square with a mountain in it and select the picture you want to add. 5f23j7sp3gq3.jpg

Annie have fun on your bicycling date!
Heather why do you have to wait to turn it on? I’d want to make sure it at least powered up before the delivery folk left… ;)
Yvonne let me know where you find that extra oomph, I could use some too.
Ginny that “pilot” room sounds like my OMG room, aka the guest room. Oh and the bookcases. And the bedside tables. And and and… Hope your youngest recovers quickly and completely.
Vicki what Tracey said. Sending filth to children is even worse in my opinion than the $$ scams.
    Pip Happy Yogi!
    Welcome @jenkauff1 Jennifer K.
Kay ((hugs)) Had your nephew been ill?

Empty audiences: watched the American Country Music awards and it was eerie with no people in the audience. Hard to imagine how the performers were able to give such great performances with no feedback energy.

Lisa and @Poerava14 Rori, saw this and thought of you.

Barbara - It's to let the oil settle apparently. We waited 4 hrs 23 mins. :D
Now I've woken up FAR too early, all excited about putting stuff back in it and buying a few things for the freezer part. All I put in last night was milk, stewed fruit and salad. All the other stuff, cheese etc, is still in the cool box. DH will get fries and frozen peas today while I am out with my friend.
I'm upstairs at the moment and will try to get a bit more sleep in a minute.
It is ridiculous to get so excited about a fridge freezer, but we inherited the old one and it was leaky, broken, mouldy, held together with gaffer tape, and didn't seal. This one feels like a huge relief. :)

My Pile It room is the utility room. Ugh. At least no one sees it but us. We have millions of cupboards, so I don't know why I have to be so messy in there. DH's study is also a bit of a mess and it is basically my stuff in boxes that doesn't have a home. My bad. :s He keeps saying he can't do anything with it until I sort through my old books etc and I keep saying "Yes" and ignoring it. :o Luckily the main rooms are super tidy. I just hide my sins and dump them on my husband. :'(

Today I dropped one thing from my long list of commitments!

I resigned as First Aid Officer for my floor at work.

I've been First Aid Officer here for years ... since maybe 2014 or 2015. But I've been thinking about the commitments I have and how I feel about them and realised that, although I don't do much as First Aid Officer, it causes me a little bit of stress just about every day with the thought, "What if ..." "What if I suddenly have to deal with a medical situation?" I would have lots of help because most people here are at least somewhat medically trained if not full-fledged doctors with advanced training. But it's that little bit of extra stress I don't need. Plus my training is coming due. Plus it is my responsibility to check a bunch of things on our floor on a regular basis. Nothing overly time consuming but just that little bit extra.

I do want to upgrade my First Aid training again at some point relatively soonish (maybe early 2021). I've been first aid certified for most of about 30 years. But I would like to do it with my husband. There may be some parts of it he doesn't quite "get" but I think it would be good for us to do together.

There are other commitments which are under review as well.

    Good decision, Machka! :D

I have always made it a tenet of my life to avoid any responsibility I could possibly wriggle out of. >:) No committees etc. This even goes as far as pets, cars and houseplants. The garden is semi wild. I take great care over the things that really matter to me and I'm super responsible. But I ration it. Energy is precious, especially mental energy.

I've put most things back in the fridge. Just a few pots of semi preserve things to go.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx

@cityjaneLondon the fridge looks great! the sound diagram is a hoot!

@Tina, I have been GF for 12 years due to intolerance (very upset intestines when I eat some). But even about 30 years ago a boyfriend remarked I would occasionally get little whiteheads right after I ate wheat!
