    01/10: 75.4 - I guess a lot was water retention
    02/10: 75.1 - still some water weight

    @MotylekOkruchy & @StephanieLWS : 2 pounds a week is very ambitious and might stall you in the long run. Don't get discouraged if it starts to be less than that and make sure you get all the nutrients and calories your body needs.

    Thank you, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I'll be fine if it's less, as long as there's progress and relative consistancy in my thought process and eating habits.

    I'm somewhat ignorant when it comes to forum 'shorthand'.
    What do the numbers mean from the post by threewins? I get the dates.

    I weigh in on Saturday. O.5kg down, yay.

    I am 2 weeks into a 2 year get fit plan. I aim to lose around 0.5kg a week on average. I aim to update weekly on here to keep me accountable.

    Out of curiosity, how many calories do most people eat per day for healthy weight loss?

    Start of Oct challenge : 101.3kg
    Current weight (3 Oct) 100.8kg (0.5 loss so far)
    Goal weight 31/10: 98.8
    Goal weight 30/11: 96.6
    Goal weight 31/12: 94.6

    I try to eat between 1500-2000 calories/day. If I am consistant, I see weight loss. Of course, the lower the cals, the more loss.

    FWIW, I am a nearly 44yo and 5'5" woman. These numbers work for me. Consistency is the key, though!

    Sunday October 04 - 143.5 - I hit 141.0 on my 60th birthday (September 20) so my short term goal is to get back to that weight over the next few weeks.

    05/10: 75.9 - I've been consistent with my eating last week, but I had a small pizza yesterday and I believe this is the result of high carb and high salt intake; it will probably be better tomorrow. Last week, I also managed to get to 70K steps!

    Will weigh in on Mon & Sat:

    Oct 5: W 215. Two days of having an unplanned meal @ day. Sat was a piece of cake ( too sweet and I did not care for the taste - yet I still finished it?!) Sun was 2 slices of pizza - wheat is a big issue for me - has been for many years - so I am retaining water. Still very discouraging. Went to bed last night reciting my why's for my choice of WOE, and planned out my day very clearly. I have to wonder if I was influenced by hubbies constant snacking this whole weekend? Not an excuse, but a realisation, something to work on.
