    I am Dawn, 60, 5'2". I live in SE British Columbia Canada

    Sunday October 04 - 143.5 - I hit 141.0 on my 60th birthday (September 20) so my short term goal is to get back to that weight over the next few weeks.
    Monday October 05 - 143.1 - I am happy to see it coming back down.

    01/10: 75.4 - I guess a lot was water retention
    02/10: 75.1 - still some water weight
    03/10: 75.2
    04/10: 75.5
    05/10: 75.9 - I've been consistent with my eating last week, but I had a small pizza yesterday and I believe this is the result of high carb and high salt intake; it will probably be better tomorrow. Last week, I also managed to get to 70K steps!

    My son's birthday is coming in November - of course I am going to enjoy birthday deliciousness along with the rest of the family too!!!

    We've had a very nice, warm, and sunny fall recently so I've been walking for about an hour every day since the challenge started. I even went for a hike last weekend! Although I mainly walk to/from and around the playground.
    The weather is about to change adding difficulty to the challenge as I find it very difficult to find motivation to exercise inside.

    Keep trying new stuff, you will find something that you enjoy doing inside for exercise that is fun for you.

    As far as celebrations with food, I also always partake in it. But I often just have a small piece or even just a few bites. Sometimes I'll make it a 'perfect bite' on just one spoon with everything I want from it and make it just that one bite. And I savor it with a smile. Then I fill up with plain coffee or water, if needbe! haha
    There are 8 ppl in my immediate family and we've just gone through the majority of 'birthday season' where 5/8 of us have birthdays within 6 weeks' time! And now we have 2 grandparents' birthdays, our 23rd wedding anniversary, 2 more birthdays, American Thanksgiving feast, 4 Advent Sunday treats, St Nicholas Day (even the adults get a chocolate letter here!), Christmas everything, and New Year's Eve party! I hope that I can enjoy each - and still stay on track with Much practiced self-control and moderation!! I hope so! (And I'm The Baker & Cook for most all of it, btw)
    I'll likely weigh-in weekly. And I'll post it later today.

    Comments: At least I didn't gain any. (And I went to my elderly mother's hometown yesterday and had *3* childhood nostalgic BBQ sandwiches!) :D

    Excuses: I actually just lost 3lbs right before beginning the challenge so I'm probably also levelling out a bit.

    I hope to get and stay on track this week to see weight Loss for Wk2!
