    So, I found myself in a binge/restrict cycle for a week there, so we're going to up my calories and lose slower intentionally. Going for .5 lb a week, and if I get more than that, great. Happy November, everyone!

    I feel ya! I go through the cycle sometimes as well. I have gotten better about it over the years but then there are times I just let myself go for some reason. Next thing I know half a bag of chips or pork rinds are emptied. Then I guilt myself the next day to skipping eating. So what I try and do is keep protein bars and low carb yogurts around for both when I feel a binge coming on or for the day after. Doesn't always work (as noted by my weight) but when I can overcome the cycle and eat healthier, it does feel good.
    Maybe posting here about it will help us both.

    hi there, just noticed this forum and would love to get involved even if I'm late to the game. Decided when Scotland went into lockdown in march that I was going to use that time to do something about my weight and make a difference. Now as the seasons change and the nights become longer and colder I am finding it harder to make the shift from salads and the likes to heavier more comforting foods while keeping my calories down. So think this will be good motivation.
    so here goes..., 2 months till the Santa man comes and hoping to lose 20lbs by then.

    Starting weight (march): 260lbs

    weight on the 26/10/20: 236lbs

    Goal weight (for Christmas): 216lbs

    So I started this challenge at
    256.5 lbs
    I'm pleased that the numbers are going down! Just having my daily calories, nothing special and not much exercise at the mo, mostly just dog walking.
    Have got myself some fancy bluetooth scales and they weigh in lbs then convert within an app to stones. So currently 17stone 12.8lbs

    I'm getting used to looking at the pounds instead now, its 250.8 and I REALLY want to get under 250!

    It looks like everyone did really well in october! Let's hit November! The uk just went into a 4 week lockdown as well so shouldn't be any eating out going on!
    We are having nice dinner tonight for our anniversary and ordering in at the weekend for the same.
    Anyone got any good suggestions for lower calorie takeaways?

    Happy Anniversary!! :) Sometimes if I can't find a lower calorie takeaway, I'll either order something I really like and before I dig in I will separate half (or your preference) of my dinner and pack it up and place it in the fridge for tomorrow lunch or dinner. Another idea would be to order a child's plate - if they have something decent to order from. Besides a salad for a lower takeaway-which I don't normally like since I like my greens really fresh- you could opt to have extra sides of veggies and watch the intake of carbs?

    Anywho, hope this helps or gives you some ideas.

    Sounds great! Im in!

    I have 40 lbs to lose so ill be great to have a challenge with others.

    I have been on MFP twice before but this time Im more motivated than ever and ready to make some big changes in my life.

    I think I really had a problem with proper portion control and emotional or boredom type eating.

    I'm going to be 31 in January and I hope to look about 15 lbs by then!

    Hi All I am more than a little late to the challenge ..,but better late than never!
    current weight 201.5..I was so close to my goal of 189.9 and I gained 6 pounds. Come on 189.9 I can do this!

    So I'm going to keep it simple. I'll aim for losing 10 pounds and 2.5 inches around the waistline.
    For transparency, as of this AM I weigh 211.4 pounds and measure 47.5 inches around my big fat belly.
    Think I’m picking the worst time of the year to try and lose weight, but hey, I do like a challenge.

    Not really eating right or exercising enough but I was down this AM to 210.8 but my scale has been known to lie. The tape measure on the other hand can't lie as easily, I am down to 46.5 on the waistline, so a victory there eh!
    So 9.6 pounds to go and 1.5 inches to lose.

    I am also adding to my challenge NLT three days of 30 minutes of activity.

    209.8 today and waistline is 46.25, that's down a pound and 1/4 inch. YAY ME! :smiley:
    Been doing well with the 3x30 workouts as well.

    No weight loss or measurement change this week, but I am doing well with my 30 minutes of activity three times a week. I actually hit five days this week. My eating has been a little bad this week so I hope to make up for it next week.

    trying to go "lower carb", which is likely a normal carb portion for a small eater. I stress binge eat and can devour the whole buffet if there's enough time.


    Starting weight
    (6 nov): 58.75kg (130 pounds)
