@Up_n_Running I admire your approach! One step at a time, you are making such significant lifestyle changes, you are doing it at your own pace and you are very reflective throughout the process. I love reading about your thought process along the way. Way to go!

Yeah for sure. I have embarked on a Lifestyle Upgrade since July 2020 and I have done everything in steps, stages and given everything my full attention, as it has all been BIG changes. Diet, exercise & weight loss was last on my list (but no less important to me). I want this new healthy eating with portion control, to be a sustainable change so just taking it in steps & will learn and adjust as I go ! 😊
i was overwight for most of my life, but i hit obese bmi last june 2020, post lockdown at 90+kg. i felt really bad, so i did something about it. i educated myself as best as i can and got to work.
i found mfp last september and it was the best thing ever. it was more than a calorie counter, it was a community of like-minded people who understand.
by october, i was around 80kg, still a lot to go. i just kept at it and worked the long game. 1-hour home workouts everyday and meal prep every weekend.
just this january 2021, i got below 65kg, and now just maintaining below this weight. the long game was worth it. this is the best that i felt in years, physically and emotionally.
to anyone who reads this: you got this. the long game is worth it. keep evolving
Good thing about sticking to eating your pre planned & prepped foods / meals.....
Save so much time ! I used to spend so much time before thinking about how to get more chocolate bars / crisps / snacks and I would even conceal sometimes how much I was eating (snacks).
I might still be going over calorie goal....but I'm breaking the habit of eating lots and I'm getting in habit of eating less food and sticking to my 3 meals plus 1 snack (but the snack is calorie laden, Greek yogurt & nuts etc....not too bothered. Im not hungry and I'm learning new habits 😌

Good luck to everyone on reaching your goals.

Lost 4lbs since last weigh in !
Over all loss, so far, 7lbs by my calculations. I did originally say if I lost 10lbs by March, I'd count that as a success. Another 3lbs to lose then...I think that's doable. By very end of march! 😆 like, March 31st lol
I plateaued in January into February (for four weeks), then I started swimming every other day (starting on 2/18) -- today will be my sixth swim -- and now I've dropped about 8 pounds! Swimming is the best!

Goal 140 lbs
Loss this week -1 lbs
Total loss 12.8l bs
