Leangains/IF Diet not working for me? HELP :(

This drives me nuts too. I find I usually get this response from people who have more serious weight problems and have never really been thin. (Maybe a bit of jealousy) I'm very small boned and love being thin, but I'm not even close to being anorexic. Maybe I'd be called skinny fat; I don't know. But I absolutely hate it when I get this response, so I usually don't mention my goals to the average (more overweight) person.. I agree, I would think this would be a safe place. Too bad people can't get past their own issues to look at you objectively.
lol...Um, no. I had a weight problem, but lost it 30 some years ago. At 52, 5 ft and 115 lbs (give or take a lb or 2), I am in far better health/shape than many of my peers. Not bragging, but pointing out the flaw in your thinking here. I don't have "issues." The OP is getting the responses based on the fact that, at her height, her goal weight does not seem reasonable. If we are wrong, I encourage her to post pictures of herself so that we may be more objective. I would bet, however, the consensus of opinion would be: go for strength or build up her body, not lose any more weight.

5' 115 lbs is way too much weight for me. I'm 5'3". As I said, very small boned and look great with much less weight than this. Again, give her some credit; she shouldn't have to prove herself to anyone here. She sounds knowledgeable. Did you even read her history? She's not a complete novice. You are not necessarily her ideal (nor mine, sorry)0

Granted, some people my height could weigh 100 lbs, 110 lbs, etc and look fine. That wasn't the point. You completely missed the point. I don't have "issues" was my point there. The assumption that people are not supporting the OP because we have "issues" or are jealous is just ridiculous.
And you are completely right. She does not have to prove anything to anyone. But since we can't see how she needs to weigh 116 lbs at 5' 9.5", then she's out of luck on further advice for her to reach that goal. Sorry. :ohwell:0
