Hi All

I think I have registered in English website. But I live in Italy, so when I try to search dishes on the website, I find them in English language, so definitely not Italian dishes. I got the premium version but I don't find so many new functions to analyze and manage the dishes that I insert. could someone explain?

If you are looking for italian foods (supermarket products for example), you should find them just fine.

Prepared dishes however, even if you can find them, are not a good idea to use for logging: you have no idea what their ingredients are, not the quantities they used. You're better off logging your own recipes, using the italian foods you buy (if you can find appropriate entries) or USDA entries for non processed foods.

Yes, do create the dishes you cook yourself in the recipe builder:

Hi. I live in Rome and have no problem finding Italian dishes or products on MFP. Restaurants in Italy do not list their menus and calorie count. You have to take a good look (or a pic) and try to figure it out to log. Example: Pasta con ragu'---Eyeball about how much pasta is on the plate, 100g, 150g,... then find a typical pasta (most brands are in the data base, or you can put one in)and log that. Ragu' will be in there so you can estimate how much is on the pasta or you can break it down and log it that way.
My food diary is open so you can look at it and see. I do make my own recipes in the recipe builder and log those. I prefer using my laptop instead of the App (I'm older and it's just easier than my cell).
The MFP food database is international. You should be able to find most foods. If not, you can enter it.
I'm happy to answer any questions.
