Goal: Lose 5 lbs in April.
    1. 10k steps/day โŒโœ”๏ธโŒโŒโŒโŒ
    2. *Under Calorie Goal - โœ”๏ธโœ”๏ธโŒโœ”๏ธโœ”๏ธโœ”๏ธ
    3. Yoga 5 times/week โœ”๏ธโœ”๏ธโŒโŒ
    4. Planks 5 times/week โœ”๏ธโœ”๏ธโŒโœ”๏ธ

    Last week's stats: 15k steps 4/7; Yoga 3/4; Walking 7/7; Planks 3/4 (Best time was 75 seconds).

*Because of my knee injury, I'm going to play it "safe" and rest it for the next 2 weeks.

3/29 MADNESS MON: share something that drives you crazy or gets under your skin! Self-centered people that can't wait until you finish speaking so that they can tell you about themselves!! People don't listen to understand or empathize, in fact, they don't really "listen" much at all any more. They just wait for you to quit talking so that they cant talk about themselves! It drives me crazy!!:grimace:
3/30 TRIUMPHANT TUE: share an NSV or another triumph that you've had recently. I recently dipped into the 160's, and today I (easily) got into a size 12 pair of purple psychedelic capri pants and a medium top!!
3/31 "WONDERFUL WED: what's your favorite thing about the ""end"" of the work week?" Having 2 days that I can SLEEP IN!
4/1 THIN THU: tell us about your weight loss journey. In 2018 I lost almost 60 lbs from March to Nov. Then I fell "off the wagon" at Thanksgiving, and had gained 12 lbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Over the past 2 years I've slowly gained 40 of that 60 back. I'm at the point right now where I was when I fell off the wagon in Nov 2018.

THIS TIME AROUND I plan to learn about "maintenance" and work hard to stay on top of my weight. I can't consider it a "diet", I have to consider it a way of life.

4/2 FOTO FRI: post a photo of anything you'd like!

@Mrs_Hoffer! We are in this together! ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿ’œ ๐Ÿค— I think it shows absolute dedication losing 60 pounds - WTG! I know, speaking from experience, its easy falling off the wagon. I did the same thing and decided to lose weight January of 2019. I know from stress, etc, I have gained weight in Feb/March. I will not be where I was and I am inspired to stay on the wagon.

Hi! Goal to walk this week came out to 3 different days. YAY!

I also did 2 sessions of abs, 1 stretching session, 1 lower body workout and 1 upper body.

I worked on my spiritual plan. My nutrition plan was different which was good the earlier part of the week and now it is the holiday weekend+ ,so soon I will be back on and in the saddle , very soon and actually happy about that!! Enough diet soda already.

    YAY!!! @salleewins

I know one thing that helps me when I am trying to change a habit is to read up about it. Even if I already know whatever X may be, that its not the best decision for me to hit my health goals. Reading an article for me helps to put one or two red flag/remainders when I want to do X.

Just How Bad is Diet Soda for You?

    You can read more at:

    https://health.clevelandclinic.org/3-reasons-you-should-kick-your-diet-soda-habit/

    1. Diet soda is associated with weight gain
Some research suggests that the brain reacts to artificial sweeteners much like it does to sugary sweets. Ingesting them frequently may result in an increased desire for high-calorie foods such as sugary treats, putting you at a greater risk of weight gain and binge eating all the cookies in the break room.

Another study found that overweight individuals who switched to diet soda were more likely to consume more calories in food than overweight individuals who drank regular soda. Those who drank diet soda even had a higher BMI than their counterparts.

Sorry I've been missing several days. Yesterday our Family got together after 2 years & 4 months and we had an outdoor BBQ at my brothers house. He lives on two acres with horses and goats and they adopted the community ducks. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜ฒ But!!!! No one was wearing a mask but myself my Ex that drove and my cousin that took the two hour drive with us. All of us in my car got our first Covid shot and was wearing a mask and will get our second covid shot on the 17th. This morning I'm waking with a dry uncomfortable throat feeling ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜ฃ but It was a beautiful gorgeous day with family But now I'm
    really concerned. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜ฏ

The book I just finished THE OBESITY CODE is a real eye opener when it comes to sugar and sugar substitutes. I thought I was doing good to use the Stevia... but they are all the same, and they all cause insulin and insulin resistance in the body (which causes weight gain!) So I'm working on cutting out ALL sugar/sugar substitutes and will only have sugar "occasionally". Giving it up in my morning coffee is that hardest part for me (I'm currently down to 1/2 packet of Stevia in my one cup of decaf in the mornings!) The book also talks about how good FASTING is for us. I've already started doing that as well.

Awesome! I really need to cut back on my sugar substitute at well. I am back to fasting between 6:30 PM and 7:30 AM - 13 hours. It has really helped me in the past and I like how my body feels!

I don't believe any of this about the artificial sweeteners and cravings or overeating of sweets. I drank diet soda the whole time I was losing weight. I also had sugar sugar in my Coffeemate. I still eat a mixture of artificial and real sugar every day. It's all about balance and CICO.

I do not have a declining weight bench...not even sure how to use one. I use the weights in the weight room at the gym at work. At home I have a step my husband made me, some dumbbells, a curved bar, and a glute band.
