Today is “bone density day,”. I take 1 alondrate sodium 70mg tab once each Sunday morning. This helps me to have strong and healthy bones. I now need to sit upright for half an hour. Coffee after that.

Machka I wish I could color like that! Beautiful!
So... finally being UNquarantined from CV (didn't have it... just exposed) and free from work, Harley and I went to visit mom yesterday. He was such a good pup. He snuggled and licked Grammy and made her laugh and feel all better! Wouldn't DARE put a picture of her on here. She'd kill me. Hasn't had her hair done in weeks and that's the first thing she asked me. Those danged "old ladies" and their hair-dresser appointments. For better or worse, the salon has been closed in her apartment while she's been gone anyway.
AND, to let y'all know, she was in fine spirits and doing very well yesterday. "Hates this contraption" (ie: collar) but she's dealing with it and doing all of her therapy without too much complaint. She can do everything on her own, according to her. She was very coherent and we had a really nice conversation. Nothing like what my brothers described.
She has a follow up visit with the neurosurgeon next Friday who will decide when she can remove the collar and the ot/pt will let her know when she can go home.

Morning, afternoon and evening, all,
Rori - The snow looks so amazing. So pleased that you're literally broadening your horizons and snowshoeing sounds grand. Cold, but grand.
Allie - I'm sorry I got the relationships wrong and whooshing much love your family's way, as Barbara would say.
Heather - Glad harmony is restored, and well done on the weight! Will we get a gander at your masterpiece?
Machka - Loved the flowers - gorgeous, saturated colors.
Pip and Mini - Love the dog pics! Mini, glad your mom's doing better.
Egg has apparently decided to become a service animal. Yesterday I was feeling pretty rough and she kept climbing up on my chest while I was laying down in the recliner and just pretty much sitting on me. The last time, she climbed up on my chest, looked me straight in the eye, and then bopped me in the chin with her paw (very gently). Makes me wish I knew more about cat communication. I know that a long slow blink while looking you in the eye is recognizing you as family, but the only thing I found for the paw thing is that she might be petting me in return for petting her. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ETA: Egg does not like to be picked up at all... she does like being petted, but only on her terms. And her usual sleeping spot is beside my ankles on the feet of the recliner.
This morning, she's stayed curled up on the bed beside Corey - her favorite Sunday morning place, as it's one of the few days a week he stays in bed to drink coffee and wander around the internet. And apparently, she thinks I'll do fine without her sitting on me.
It's warmed up nicely outside, time to run to the store and get the necessaries for the week.
Later, y'all,
Love,

Machka ~ Your colorings are so bright and pretty!
Katla ~ I hope you hubby finds a car that he loves. My car is 16 yrs old and still drives like a dream, but, I would love to trade it in for a newer model.
Barbara ~ So sorry about your mail box robbery. A lot of folks in my area have been writing about a huge increase in car breakins.
Rori ~ What a lovely scene you had to look out through your window. Congrats on your snow shoeing.
Annie ~ Wow! You seem to be plagued with fleas.
For years my weight stayed at 166 lbs but over the last 3 or 4 it has crept up to 172/173. I can still wear most of my very old clothes, but, would be a lot happier to get it back down. Guess I'm not willing to do the work. Until I was in my 40's, the weight was always less than 130 lbs.
Carol in GA
Carol, I am feeling the same way. I was always under 120 until mid to late 40's, got up to 175 but now back down to 153.At just 5', that is too much.
Six years ago, I was REALLY motivates- seeing hubby #1 for the first time in 20 yrs- I was on the treadmill for 2 hrs every morning, then pushing the triplets in a triple wide stroller for two more hours every morning. I got down to 129 and I was thrilled.
My goal is 125 but unless I can figure out what I am doing wrong, I don't know if I will get there. I really have a lack of motivation.
I am sticking to the 1100 cal a day or close to it, never going over 1200, sometimes just having 1000
but not motivated to start hitting the treadmill again-it is now buried in the garage plus it is very cold out there(I know, excuses-before I was out there at 5am in the middle of winter)
My only real exercise is my two zumba classes each week.
I used to walk every day with a friend and loved it- then she joined a gym so we dont walk at all now, maybe once a month at most.

Yesterday DH asked me to stop at the store to pick up a prescription. The pharmacist did not have the medicine. He is not someone who works there regularly and I went away empty handed. DH is not happy and will likely go to a different pharmacy in the future. We will see.

isnt a snuggly cat the best thing. I am typing with my snuggle bug in my lap. She wants in my lap when ever I sit down. Finally one that likes to snuggle. Cats purring is my favorite thing to help me sleep. This is Tonashi, at Christmas. I cant get a new picture because is laying on my right wrist

I take alondrate sodium on Tuesday mornings. I am fortunate that my morning plan is to dress and walk my dogs right after taking the pill so by the time I fix my breakfast more than 30 minutes have passed. I don't drink coffee. My last two bone density tests have shown good improvement

Thanks- she is one of the ones that the mom had them in our back yard and left them-her brother is a short hair(NOT pretty at all) apricot color but he has a HUGE personality. There was a third but it got hit by a car before we brought them in-it was another long haired one.
She has very long hair but she is also overweight because dh gives all the cats too much food and constant treats.
She still is a bit skittish at first but as soon as we pick her up, she melts in our arms and just purrs- when really content, she sounds like a little pigeon.
All 8 of ours are formerly feral/found cats.
Miso and Tonashi5 -
Debbie, I have to disagree, both cats are gorgeous!
Hoping everyone has a lovely Day!

Lisa: Mars acts alot like Egg. Can only guess the meaning behind paws, purrs or head butts. Doesn't really matter. Little stinker owns my heart.5
