No excuses. Clearly I'm eating more than I think I am.
04/19: 186.2 lbs (+0.6)
14/20: 185.6 lbs (-0.6)
Been more careful about food choices and weighing. Nuts and nut butters are too tempting so they are banished to the back of the pantry, out of sight until I feel like I can eat them in a reasonable amount. I'll get there, my willpower is weak right now though. Also getting in more steps and exercise in general. Determined to end this round lower than I started it.
04/21: 185.8 lbs (+0.2)
Not surprised. Work lunch yesterday and it seemed salty. Drinking lots of water today.
04/22: 185.6 lbs (-0.2)
At least the swings aren't as wild. Hike and gym day. Happy Friday everyone!
04/23: 183.0 lbs (-2.6)
Not sure this is real, but it feels good! Been more mindful of what I'm eating and moving more. Active day planned today, so hopefully this is the start of a trend!
04/24: 185.0 lbs (+2.0)
Yup, it wasn't real!
04/25: 185.6 lbs (+0.6)
Didn't make it to the gym this weekend but I did walk a lot. Feeling mentally and physically exhausted.
04/26: 184.4 lbs (-1.2)
Well, I ended the round lower than I started, so that counts as a win. This bouncing around is rough. I was pretty consistent and now I never know what to expect. Oh well, onward!

4/17: 133.6 - Happy Easter! Weird eating yesterday - one large meal early afternoon with a lot of heavy snacking and tasting the rest of the day as I prepared for our Easter celebration. Not getting enough sleep though - really, really need to work on this one.
4/18: 133.6 - Another one large meal at lunch with waaaay too many nibbles the rest of the day celebrating Easter with extended family . Good sleep for once though and managed to get my workout in.
4/19: 133.6 - Back on track with eating, although still finishing up food from Easter which is pretty calorie dense. Good workouts and good sleep.
4/20: 134.7 - Had good workouts and good sleep. We met some friends at a restaurant and I still had a hankering for something sweet when we got home. Managed to stop myself before I went over calories, but it was super close.
4/21: 134.7 - Normal-ish workouts and eating. Finally moved into the 21st century and got some bluetooth earbuds to use out on my walks. So convenient!
4/22: 134.0 - Lots of snacky eating yesterday. Need to get back to more balanced meals. We have a lot of social things planned for the next week, so it may be tough.
4/23: 134.7 - Normal eating, but a bit of sampling of things I was cooking. Normal workouts.
4/24: 134.7 - Did an early workout before brunch with friends.
4/25: 134.9 - Back to where I started the round. Workout and then some quick house cleaning. Normal eating and good sleep.
4/26: 134.9 - Normal eating, workouts, sleep. I was hoping to be down a little bit to have more of a cushion in the maintenance rage.

1st Goal - 199 ✅
2nd Goal - 179
UG - 149
Step Goal 50,000 at some point
4/17 ~ 184.6 - 15,100 steps and 95 active minutes. Went for a beautiful 6k walk around a lake then a visit with the GDs they are so sweet. Easter dinner today and hopefully a good walk in. Hope everyone had a great round.
4/18 ~ 185.9 - 14,200 and 89. Got in a small walk and had a great dinner with family including dessert, chocolate and wine!! SO has gone off to work, looks like a few weeks so I should be able to get back to my lower weight soon. Just have to fight all this rain in the forecast. Oh so looking forward to sunny days.
4/19 ~ 186.6 - 17,600 and 118. Little unexplained jump up. My days have been like that the last few, not worried as I am still going in the right direction for calories and exercise. Got in a great walk yesterday in the pouring rain.
4/20 ~ 185.8 - 21,800 and 156. Long after work walk. NSV I have fit back into some of my spring clothes! Plus some of the clothes I've been wearing are a little too large. In the next few weeks I'll remove them from my closet. Scale reads are all over the place and I have a small road trip into Vancouver Thursday/Friday which I'm sure will effect my calorie intake and exercise but I am aware. The 170's are just going to take a few tries to get to, lol.
4/21 ~ 183.8 - 17,100 and 118. It was pouring rain but I got out there and got SOAKED! I do enjoy my walks even in the rain. I don't think I will be able to weigh in tomorrow or will be a different scale or maybe when I get back home late late Friday night, will see. Nice to see this 183 but after my road trip it'll bounce back up. I just have to get back here and I'll be fine!
4/22 ~ DNW - 13,600 and 76. Not bad for lots of driving and sitting. Hotel had a scale but the battery was dead. Ate mindfully and slept horribly. Happy Friday all!
4/23 ~ 182.7 - 19,600 and 108. Wow, that’s a surprise. Did lots of walking in the beautiful sunshine (finally!) Ate out for all 3 meals. Granola bowl for breakfast with a vanilla latte. Avocado salad for lunch with an Iced latte and a Salmon burger with green salad on the ferry home. Had a great time with my Mom ❤️ … I am way way behind on reading posts but I’m here cheering for you!! Hope your weekend is sunny ☀️
4/24 ~ 182.9 - 24,800 and 189. Nice sunny day and went for a great walk.
4/25 ~ 182.3 - 10,500 and 64. 🙂
4/26 ~ 180.6 - 11;800 and 70 minutes. I think this number is a combination of dehydration and some TMI. Oh and some great sleep.
See you all in the next round!! 🏆

4/20: 224.8 (-.2) - getting over a terrible cold. Plan for the day is to go on a short walk, keep up with my water goal, and get my Fitbit back up and running.
4/21: 225 (+.2) - I expected this. Too much sodium yesterday.
4/22: 224 (-1.0) - there we go . . .
4/23: 224.2 (+.2) -
4/24: 223.2 (-1.0) - I would love to see 223 tomorrow morning. Going to be extra mindful to get there. That would put me out of BMI obese class II and into obese class I. Packing for a beach trip tomorrow. We will be gone all week, but we are driving and have a house and we only plan to eat out once or twice. I have all the meals planned and plan to pack the scale too (husband thinks I am nuts bringing the scale. It doesn’t take up too much room though!)
4/25: 222.4 (-.8) - Hooray! Hello obese classI bmi!
4/26: 223.0 (+.6) - Meh. 5 hours in the car, stopped for lunch (had a small Caesar salad and stole a couple Cajun tots from my kids - really only a few though!) Not enough water though. Slept awful (with both kids and the dog - husband left for the other room, he’s smart.) Glad to be down for the week though. See y’all next round.

Hi everyone, my last round here was in March 2019 (R69) with a weight of 185.6. Back now at 225 (ugh!) Unchecked thyroid levels = rapid weight gain during the height of covid quarantine with a high weight of 240. I don’t have a thyroid due to cancer and, well . . . here I am today heavier than ever, more determined than ever.
Anyway, this challenge was really helpful in keeping me accountable a few years ago, so I am jumping back in! Will do my first official weigh in tomorrow morning.
Love seeing some familiar faces still at it here. You are all AMAZING!6 -

4/17 DNW Easter
4/18 DNW (my birthday!) 🎂
4/19 169.6 lbs I'm shocked I made it through Easter and my birthday without a major gain! Worried it might show up tomorrow.
4/20 168.0 lbs Huh. This is surprising. I've got company all week and have decided my goal is simply to maintain this round, so any loss is a bonus!

4/24 167.4 Back to the scale after a family vacation for my birthday week. It was great seeing everyone, but not so great on my routine. I didn't have the highest hopes for a round that includes Easter + my birthday, and I'm shocked to be down!
4/25 168.6 Up again, but not by much. Back to where I started this round, and my goal was to maintain, so it's okay.
4/26 167.4 I'm down more than a pound this round with all the company and Easter dinner and birthday cake? No idea why but really pleased with this and excited to see what the next round brings.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

4/17: 221.9 - I used to do these challenges, but the past few months I had some issues with depression and weighing and tracking were too much for me mentally, so I spent the last couple of months focusing on my mental health. I have been doing better and for the last few weeks I've started back tracking and making healthy changes. So, I was excited to see this challenge starting today so I can start back to daily weighing.

@coblujay Over the past several years I have mentioned my own experience when I hit a “plateau.” It’s not easy to stick to a plan when you don’t see significant progress but I know you will do it. And I will point out my own experience once again for anyone who reads this - it took me FOUR MONTHS to bounce down and up and down through one 10 pound bracket. Hang in there! You’ve got this!3
